Review: LUSH Grease Lightening Spot Treatment

Hey my loves! Today I will be reviewing the LUSH Grease Lightening Spot Treatment. I didn't own a spot treatment before this (at least not one that wasn't expired) so I decided to pick up Grease Lightening because I heard so many good reviews on it. Keep reading if you would like to see my opinion on this product.

What it claims to do: "Strikes the spot with lightening precision. Dab on this super effective tea tree and witch hazel get to zap zits before they show themselves."

- Non greasy
- Gel consistency. I prefer gel products over cream products any day!
- Not tested on animal
- Good amount of product

- Barely worked! I would say it worked about 1 out of 10 times
- Crazy pump! Each time I tried to dispense some product it would fly all over the place!

My experience: I had really high hopes for this product at first because many people seemed to love it but after using this for about 2 months I can say that this did nothing! I used this as a spot treatment for stubborn pimples but each morning when I looked at my face to see if anything had changed my pimples were still there. Only once did Grease Lightening actually work on me but every other time it failed. Aside from the actual product not working the dispenser didn't work either, it would shoot out too much product and would make a mess! I'm really upset that this didn't end up working because I am looking for a really good spot treatment.

Would I recommend this someone? No, maybe if you have acne prone skin? I have normal to oily combination skin (more normal during fall/winter more oily during the summer) with no big skin problems and this didn't work on me.

Collective Haul

I have a small collective haul to share with you all today. These are items I've bought in the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy!

I picked up these sheer peter pan collar shirts from Forever 21 during their Memorial Day Sale. I've wanted some shirts like these for a while so I'm glad I finally got them and on sale! I know they're more Spring timey shirts but I think these would be perfect on a cool Summer night paired with a skirt.

You guys may recognize this floral bathing suit from my cute swimsuit post. I'm not a pool person but I still wanted to get a swimsuit because I'm going on vacation soon so I need one, even if I'm just going to be wearing it with a cute cover up.

Left to right: Revlon Top Speed nail polish in Spirit, Sally Hansen flower nail file, Trim nail clipper, Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof kohl eyeliner in brown, and ELF stipple brush

American Apparel city tote. I'm so happy I decided to get this bag! I love it!

NOTD: Animal Crossing New Leaf Inspired Nails

Hey there lovelies! Today I have a fun nail inspired look for you guys. If you are a fan of the Animal Crossing series then you probably know that their newest game New Leaf came out today! I've been waiting for this game for 2 years! So to celebrate I thought I would create a cute nail art inspired by the Animal Crossing: New Leaf bundle set

Review: St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub

St. Ives is famous for it's Apricot Face Scrub but when I used it made me breakout so knew that scrub wasn't for me but when I heard that they made a Green Tea Scrub I had to check out (because I love anything green tea related)! I've been using this exfoliant for a few weeks and here are my thoughts on it...

What it Claims to do: "From America's #1 scrub brand, this scrub with 100% natural derived exfoliants and skin-soothing green tea gently fights blemishes and reduces redness and irritation caused by acne. The result is clear and calm skin."

- Softens skin
- Reduces pimples and breakouts
- Gentle scrub
- A little goes a long way
- Smells great
- Affordable

- Leave my hands dry

My experience: First off the texture of this scrub is kind of foamy when you get some out of the tube. The smell is amazing! This scrub is also really gentle on your face not like the apricot one at all (that one is more rough). The first day I used this scrub my face felt smooth and soft also since using this scrub I've noticed that I have not had any pimples, spots, breakouts, anything! The only problem I did have was when I was washing this off my face it made my hands feel very dry but besides that I really love this scrub!.

Would I recommend this to someone? Yes!
