I've been looking for my perfect skincare regime since the begging of the year and after product after product I think I finally found the best skincare routine for my skin type.
Just some background information about my skin. First off I have oily combination/normal skin, my skin is more oily during the summertime but during the colder months it becomes normal. I also never had acne of any sort however my older sister did so that made me paranoid at a young age and was introduced to skincare at an early age. So I'm pretty educated in most skincare. Anyways, on to the skincare products I use on my face.
Daily routine
Toner
Boots Botanics Mattifying Toner Shine Away: This is one of those toners that you have to shake before using, it turns into a milky greenish gray color when mixed. To use this I use a cotton pad and pour a little and apply it on my face. I use it in the morning when I wake up (I don't wash my face in the morning because that can lead to over washing and dry skin) and at night after cleansing.
Cleansing
Missha Creamy Latte Green Tea Cleansing Foam: This is a light green metallic looking cleanser. It doesn't foam that much but it leaves my skin feeling clear and smooth.
Lioele Deep Pore Cleansing Brush: This is a soft bristle cleansing brush that is suppose to give the same effects as a Clarisonic. I use this along with the Missha cleanser and love the results of using them together!
Moisturizers
Hadalabo Super Hyaluronic Deep Moisturizer: I use two moisturizers a lighter one and a thicker one. This is a light liquid moisturizer that I use in the morning after toning. This really makes my skin clear which I love but the only problem is that it leaves my chin and nose feeling dry (that's why I use two moisturizers).
Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer: Even though this is suppose to be a "light moisturizer" it is a lot heavier then the Hadalabo moisturizer because it's a cream and not a liquid. I use this at night so that it can really absorb into my skin as I sleep.
Others
Supergoop! City Sunscreen Serum: This is a serum that can heal sun damage on your face. I actually discovered this though Birchbox but I hate the packaging! You can never tell if it's full or empty. I use this after I moisturizer.
LUSH Grease Lightning Spot Treatment: Not my favorite spot treatment but I do use it when I have a spot or two because really want to finish it. If any of you have any recommendations for a good spot treatments please let me know.
Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose Eye Cream: I love this eye cream, the smell, texture, everything! I use it in the morning and night after moisturizing.
Scrubs
Queen Helene Gentle Oatmeal 'n Honey Natural Facial Scrub: I exfoliate 2 times a week with one of these cleansers.This was one of the first scrubs I ever used and it's still one of my favorites! I think they changed the formula though because now it has a artificial smell to it but it still gives the same results.
St Ives. Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub: If I want a light exfoliate I use this scrub. The green tea is really calming and it reduces spots and blemishes.
LUSH Dark Angels Cleansing Facial Scrub: This is the roughest scrub out of all the three. I first started using this as a cleanser but it was way too rough so then I started using it as a scrub which worked out well. I only use this once a week.
Masks
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque: I use a mask once a week and when I do I use one of these two. My favorite mask ever is this one by Queen Helene. This is probably my sixth bottle and I'm almost done with it! It's a green mask that is amazing at clearing up your face! I also sometimes use this as a spot treatment.
Freeman Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Mask: This is what I call my anti-stress mask. I like using this when I'm taking a bubble bath or just want to relax at home. The mask is a beautiful turquoise color and it smells amazing!
