12 Days Of DIY: Embroidered Christmas Cards

Christmas cards are a fun way of celebrating the holiday season so today I have a cute Christmas card idea you guys can try this weekend. Most of my other DIY's have been on crocheting but the best part of this DIY is that anyone can do this! You don't need to know anything to do this because all you need to do is insert a needle through a card! Oh and you will get pricked with the needle but it's worth it!

You will need:
- Blank Cards
- Pencil
- Embroidery floss
- Embroidery needle
- Scissors

Step 1: First think of a festive design you want your card to have. Lightly draw whatever you want your Christmas cards to have on the cover.

Step 2: Next trace over your design with dots. Make sure there is 1/2 inch space between the dots.

Step 3: Once you have your dots dotted over your design carefully insert your embroidery needle through the dots. Repeat until all your dots have a holes through them.

Step 4: With your embroidery floss and needle insert your needle with the floss attached from the back side of the card and go through the dots one by one. Repeat until you have your card outlined with embroidery floss.

Step 5: Make sure all of the strings are on the back side of your card and cut and tie the end.

For this card I drew a gift box and a snowflake. I love the way it came out!

I also made a Christmas tree with a star and red ornaments.

Happy holidays!
