Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream ♥ Beauty Review

Finding a new beauty product to add to your skincare regime is one of the hardest thing ever, trust me I've tested hundreds of products and still haven't found my permanent family. But sometimes it's those hidden gems that surprise you and make an expensive luxurious cream seem like a waste of money! When all along your new family member was living in your local drugstore disguised between hundreds of other skincare products waiting to find a home. Today I will be introducing the newest addition to my skincare family, the Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream. I wasn't expecting this eye cream to change my skincare routine at all, but it did!

What it claims to do
"This hypoallergenic eye cream contains gentle ingredients that are proven to moisturize, nourish and help reduce the appearance of fine lines."

- Hydrating
- Moisturizing
- Helps with puffiness
- Reduces dark circles
- Whitening
- Doesn't irritate eyes
- Affordable
- A little product goes a long way
- Comes with a lot of product

- Haven't seen that much improvement with fine lines (because I don't really have any)
- I wish this product could help prevent wrinkles or anti-aging

My experience:
I bought this eye cream probably around November of last year. Honestly I was nervous at first because most eye creams cost around $30 so I wasn't expecting a $8 eye cream to do anything but I went ahead and gave it a shot. Within the first application I noticed that my eyes were both nourishing and hydrating. The cream also reduces dark circles because of the whitening properties. Overall I think it does a great job for $8.

Would I recommend this product?
Yes! If you are new to eye creams and are looking for a cheap product that works I highly recommend this product!

You can but the Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream here.

Candysan Haul ♥ Japanese Candy

I ordered from Candysan earlier this month. I found that Candysan offers a variety of Japanese food and they also don't overcharge like most Japanese candy websites. I placed my order on January 3 and they shipped my order on January 5. I just received my package yesterday (January 26) it took a total of 3 weeks for it to arrive.

You guys are probably already aware that I love international snacks (check out my past British and Korean hauls). I originally wanted to order some individually wrapped candy to send off with my Etsy orders, because who doesn't like extras? Speaking of extras they also included a few extras which I forgot to take pictures of.

To get 5% off your order use my code: 042693801 (when you register)

Meltykiss is chocolate covered squares with strawberry filling inside. Each chocolate comes in a cute pink wrapper.

I believe these are called Take No Ko No Sato? They are swirl shaped domes with a cookie at the bottom and white and strawberry chocolate on the top. I thought these would be small but they're pretty giant, about the size of my thumb!

I also got this Milky chocolate candy bar mainly because of the adorable packaging! It's even cuter in person because it has holographic design all over the box. There are 12 chocolate pieces with milky cream inside.

I also got these winter edition Milky candies which come in three flavors, grape, milk tea and caramel (i think?). The wrappers are really cute they have flowers all over! These candies have a chewy taffy consistency on the outside but in the center they are hard. I've tasted all of them so far and the milk tea flavor is by far my favorite!

Etude House Dear My Wish Lips Talk ♥ Beauty Review

The lipsticks by Etude House have always intrigued me because of their adorable ribbon packaging and lovely shades. I've been playing around with the Etude House Dear My Wish Lips Talk lipstick in BE102 for the past month and today I will be reviewing it for you guys.

If you are interested in buying one of the Dear My Wish Lip Sticks please look up some swatches online first! I'm so glad I did this because the swatches that Etude House provides don't match up with the actual lipsticks. They are way more pigmented! Just a tip!

What does it do?
"A new texture that melts smoothly onto lips and delivers vivid color with just one touch."

- Glides on smoothly
- Creamy
- Bold color
- Pigmented
- Moisturizing
- Glossy finish
- Cute packaging
- Long lasting

- Slides off lip lines throughout the day
- Lip colors don't match up with the swatches that Etude House provides
- I wish there was more natural shades

My experience:
After looking at the swatches a few bloggers took online I went ahead and bought the BE102 lipstick. It's one of their "natural" beige lip colors but as you can tell from the picture I took its more of a burgundy rose color with blue undertones. Even though it's suppose to be a natural color I still think it's really bold especially for someone who is use to wearing candy pinks, like myself. However after testing this out I found myself reaching more for this lipstick because of the smooth butter formula.

Would I recommend this product?
Yes! I think the lipstick formula is outstanding! If you are a fan bold lip colors then I highly recommend these lipsticks to you. I hope in the future Etude House releases lighter shades with the same formula.

Favorite Energy/Protein Bars ♥ Fitness Friday

Energy bars are one of my favorite ways to get protein and fiber. I usually eat a bar as my post workout snack or whenever I want a healthier treat during the day. Since I've tried my share of protein bars I wanted to share my favorite bar brands I like the best. I don't have any specific favorite flavors I prefer but usually gravitate towards dessert flavors like the cake and cookies!

LARABARS have a combination of unsweetened fruit, nuts and spices. Gluten free, dairy free, soy free, non-GMO, vegan, kosher, and no bar contains more than 9 ingredients. They also come in some amazing flavors like chocolate chip brownie and peanut butter cookie! I personally love LARABARS because they are soft and chewy and of course delicious!

LUNA Bars are prefect for women because they contain nutrition that matter to women. LUNA Bars are gluten free, 9 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, 70% organic, and come in a variety of mouthwatering flavors like their newest addition, chocolate cupcake!

From the makers of LUNA Bars come the CLIF Bar! CLIF Bars are my favorite bar to eat after I've exercised because they're jam packed with protein! The bars are tough but slightly chew. Contains 23 minerals and vitamins, made with organic oats and peanut butter (only this flavor), and are a good source of fiber and protein (they're are 10 grams of protein in this bar alone!).

KIND bars have assortment of bars like nuts and spices, fruit and nut (my favorite), healthy grain bars, and healthy grain clusters. They're the priciest of all the other energy bars but I think they're worth it because they taste incredible!

My Favorite 3DS Games ♥ 2014 Favorites

Tons of video games came out in 2014! I did a few reviews on some of these games but not all of them quite yet. So, instead of making a bunch of individual reviews on each game (which I still might do...), I decided to pick my favorite, and not-so-favorite, games that came out in 2014.

These are the five DS games that I enjoyed the most. I couldn't simply pick just one favorite video game so I picked five instead.

Tomodachi Life
Let's start with the life simulation game: Tomodachi Life. It's a game about mii's that you can customize and play around with. You basically get to run their lives by feeding them, dressing them, play mini games and even create relationships and families! This game is so quirky and cute I love it! Check out the full review here!

Kirby Triple Deluxe
This was one of the games I was most excited about because of Kirby! I first got into Kirby a few years ago when I played Kirby's Epic Yarn for the Wii. Ever since, I've been trying to expand my Kirby collection by playing new and old games. Kirby Triple Deluxe is the newest edition to the Kirby family. It's a new action adventure game that Kirby fans will surely enjoy! Check out my full review here!

Pokemon Art Academy
The artistic side of me absolutely loved Pokemon Art Academy! You get to draw Pokemon using a variety of art supplies and art styles. If you enjoy hearing a pencil scribbling on paper then you will enjoy this game. Expect a full review on this game soon!

Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
The remake of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire was definitely a huge release last year! It takes the old-school favorites but the with a few twists, including the mega evolutions that were featured in Pokemon X and Y. To be honest, I got a little bored half-way through because it was so similar to X and Y. However, this will definitely be a fun game for fans of the old games.

Fantasy Life
Last is the game that surprised me: Fantasy Life. I randomly bought this game after seeing a few reviews online. I instantly became addicted to this game for weeks. It's a role playing game that takes you on various quests through the fantasy world of Reveria. It's pretty similar to the Final Fantasy games, so if you love those games I would highly recommend Fantasy Life.

These two games, Bravely Default and Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit!, were neither amazing nor horrible, but something in between. Basically, these games are the games that could have done better.

Bravely Default
From the people who bring you Final Fantasy comes another RPG that follows the lives of 4 characters. I started playing this in the beginning of last year. As much as I loved the graphics, fighting, and costumes, I wasn't a fan of the story line or the voice acting of some characters. (Some of the main characters's voices made me cringe.) Also, the game is pretty long, which may or may not be a downside for some people. I can only go a month of playing a game before it becomes boring. I still play Bravely Default from time to time but when I do I'm not glued to it like when I first started. Check out my review on Bravely Default here.

Cooking Mama 5 Bon Appetit!
I was really excited when I found out that there was a new Cooking Mama game coming out. I've played every single Cooking Mama game so far. While Bon Appetit stayed true to the previous Mama games, I felt that this one didn't have enough interesting recipes compared to the other games. (It lacked desserts!). However, it did have a lot of fun mini games which entertained me. Read my review on this game here.

The two games that were my least favorite of the bunch are Disney's Magical World and Super Smash Bros. Both of these games aren't bad they just weren't my absolute favorite games.

Disney Magical World
Starting off with Disney Magical World. I bought this game because I thought it would be cute and, well, magical but after playing it for a few weeks I got bored with it. There isn't really a story to the game. You just have to go on tasks and the whole game is just a bunch of mini games in one. And to those who say this game is like Animal Crossing: There is no game can come close to Animal Crossing. Review here!

Super Smash Bros for 3DS
This game was probably the most talked about in the gaming world. I played it for like about a week, or until I unlocked all of the characters, and then I stopped playing. Don't get me wrong; I loved the new roster of fighters they added to the game but I wish they had added a story line like they did in SSB Brawl. I also found that the other mini games they had were pretty hard for me. Check out the review here!

Asian Market Haul ♥ Korean Snacks

Over the weekend, we took a surprise visit to an Asian and international supermarket called Nam Dae Mun. The store has tons of international food, but I was on the hunt for some Korean snacks. When you first walk inside, you instantly get hit by the smell of fish (and it lingers throughout the market). The store was packed that day, probably because it was the weekend. So, I couldn't check out every aisle like I originally planned. I'm trying to eat healthier so I didn't go all out, but now I'm kind of regretting it because everything I bought was actually affordable.

I've been searching for this milk tea for a long time and I finally found it along with it's rosy fruit sister! I can't wait to make boba tea with this!

They had all these different flavors of Pocky and they even had Pepero. It's the Korean version of Pocky and was even made before Pocky. (It even has it's own holiday!) I had trouble choosing what flavors I wanted but I ended up going with cookies and cream, matcha, and the ever popular almond (it's the most popular flavor in Korea).

The packaging on this immediately caught my eyes... Also the price: 79 cents! This is called Kancho and they are round cookie bits with chocolate paste inside. They are a lot like those koala cookies but these are more crunchy then the koalas.

When we were walking around the produce area, my eyes found this coconut. They're called young coconuts. Even though I hate coconut water, I decided to get this because they look so cool (and Instagram-worthy). My only concern is how I'm going to open this without the liquid going everywhere! Anyone have any tips?

My older sister got a pack of 4 bungeoppang (that's what they call these fish shaped ice creams in Korea) for $5 but it was worth it because they are so delicious! It contains red bean and vanilla ice, the outside tastes like a wafer cone and the red beans were sweet and gooey. Definitely getting more of these when we go back!
Sister's note: These are insanely good! Totally in love with fish-shaped ice cream. Fuq yeah!

Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion ♥ Beauty Review

After months and months of hearing about these cushion compacts I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and purchase the Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion. It's a 6-in-1 product that is suppose to brighten, control oily, correct your skin tone, moisturize, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and has a UV protection with SPF 50 PA+++.  I've been testing out this cushion for about a month and here are my thoughts on it.

This puff is suppose to transfer the product on your face with getting any sebum on it. So you can reuse without worrying about transferring any bacteria. By the way I use the natural beige shade.

What does it do?
"This cushion pact perfects all-day radiant and moist skin with its multi-function of brightening, wrinkle-reducing, sebum control, and flawless coverage."

- Light to medium coverage (which I love)
- Fast application
- Moisturizing
- Portable
- Buildable
- Brightening
Easy to blend

- Only comes in three shades.
- Boring packaging
- You can't use the puff to blend

My experience:
The product inside the cushion has the same consistency as a bb cream, which is fine with me because I use bb/cc creams all the time. The coverage is light to medium coverage, so if you don't have that much to cover then this is perfect for you. It's portable so if you are in school and want something quick to apply in the morning this is great for you.  I only had three reasons why I didn't like this. Number one, it only comes in three shades so if you have darker skin sadly it work blend into your skin. Number two, the compact is bland but they do sell compacts but only when they have special collections (like the Minnie Mouse and Cinderella ones). Lastly, you can't use the puff/sponge to blend in the product so you either have to use your hands or a brush (I use a stippling brush).

Would I recommend this?
Yes! It's my first time using a cushion compact and I think it's an amazing idea! I think the Etude House cushion was a great introduction into the cushion family for me. I can't wait to play around with some more cushion products.

You can purchase the Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion here.

Have any of you tried any of the cushion products? What cushion should I try next?
