Goodbye 2016 ♥ The Weekend Guide #39

The Weekend Guide
So this is my last post in 2016! It's crazy to think that tomorrow we start a new year. I'm actually glad for the new fresh start because 2016 was a crappy year for me. I was trying to think of even the smallest moments that stood out but nothing popped up. 2016 has been an incredibly stressful year for me emotional and I just want to reduce my stress and anxiety as mush as possible in 2017.

As you can tell I didn't finish blogmas either (the whole month not just blogging til Christmas). I stopped posting on Wednesday because I needed a rest. 31 posts are difficult as is, now try adding 12 DIY posts! Hopefully you guys understand. I have 27 amazing Christmas/Winter themed posts available for you to read though in case you are bored or want to relive the holiday season.

This is also my last Weekend Guide. I've decided I will no longer be posting The Weekend Guide in 2017 and instead another weekend post will replace it. Look forward to that next Friday! I will also be resuming my regular posting schedule, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and resting days on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Weekend To Do List
Buy a 2017 planner (I'm going to get another Happy Planner but don't know if I should get the smaller size or the original size)
Buy groceries
Plan my blog posts for January
Exchange my camera for a new one (The one I got for Christmas was missing a few things so we have to return it for another one)

Ear Worms
Uhm Jung Hwa - Watch Me Move

Currently Watching
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (Such a cute drama! I am going to spend my New Year's Eve binge watching this drama)

Pokemon Moon (Still haven't finished it)

Starbucks Gingerbread Cafe Tour ♥ Blogmas 2016

Starbucks Gingerbread House Tour
A few days before Christmas my younger sister and I assembled a gingerbread house. Not just any gingerbread house though! I bought this Starbucks Gingerbread Cafe Kit because we're both obsessed with Starbucks! Gingerbread houses are one of my favorite things to decorate so I wanted show you our finished Starbucks gingerbread cafe. It's not perfect and the icing is sloppy but we had fun decorating it and that's all that matters.

Starbucks Gingerbread House Tour
The kit came with everything you need to personalize your own Starbucks cafe. Some red gumdrops, white icing, various colored candy beads, candy canes candies, peppermint sticker and even red cup candies! You also got some Starbucks logos, a drive-tru sign and green panels that are suppose to be used for the windows and roof.

Starbucks Gingerbread House Tour
We decorated each piece of the gingerbread cafe first before gluing it together. However, when it came to placing the cafe on the bottom of the gingerbread holder some of the decorations stood out so I had to remove and re-glue some of the pieces (like the peppermint sticks). That's why some of the decorations seems out of place.

Let's start with the front of the cafe. I followed a little bit of the design on the box but not all of it. For the windows on our cafe I made a different design. I really loved the Starbucks red cup candies so I tried to include them as much as possible throughout the whole cafe.

Starbucks Gingerbread House Tour
On the side, I made a outdoor drive-thru menu. The peppermint stick with the gumdrop is suppose to be a speaker where you can place your order. It's pretty messy but kind of cute.

Starbucks Gingerbread House Tour
On the back is the drive-thru pick-up area. I decided to draw a car (some of the candy beads fell off because of lack of icing). Since there were some leftover window panels (it came with four) I placed them over the pick-up window. I also randomly drew a snowman next to the pick-up area, he's holding a drink! lol

Starbucks Gingerbread House Tour
On the other side I decided to draw some trees because I was out of ideas at this point. We also hadn't used the candy canes that much either so this was a chance to place some candy canes.

Starbucks Gingerbread House Tour
Lastly, we have the roof. The kit provided a green card stock rectangle to use as the roof. I wasn't a fan of this because the piece felt flimsy and mine came slightly bent so it made my cafe's roof look odd. I didn't know what that last gingerbread piece was for and it didn't say in the instructions what it's suppose to be so we just placed in onto of the roof.

Sorry for the bad icing job throughout the cafe. While we were putting the cafe together the gingerbread pieces didn't want to sticker together so I went crazy with the icing trying to make the whole gingerbread stick together. You guys should've seen the inside! It was a huge gooey mess! lol

Do you eat the gingerbread after you are finished using it or throw it away?

What I Got For Christmas ♥ Blogmas 2016

What I Got For Christmas 2016
Welcome to the day after Christmas. How was your Christmas? Did you get everything you asked for? Well today I am sharing what I got for Christmas this year. I was very satisfied with everything that I received from my family. My favorite present hands down is the new camera that my parents bought me! As I mentioned in this post I wasn't expecting a camera from them so it was a huge surprise! I actually used it today to take these photos (minus the one showing the camera) so let me know what you think of the quality of the pictures in this post.

What I Got For Christmas 2016
Starting with what I got myself for Christmas (Yes, I wrapped it and put it under the tree and everything! lol). I bought myself the Too Faced White Chocolate Chip Palette back when it was released. I actually got my younger sister the other chocolate chip palette so I didn't want to open mine and use it before she got hers. I also bought myself that Stranger Things sweater that I've been using as a Christmas sweater and a background. It's an oversize sweater that has a warm fleece-like material on the inside so it keeps me nice and warm.

What I Got For Christmas 2016
What I Got For Christmas 2016
Now onto my favorite gift, the camera! My parents both bought me this Nikon Coolpix B500. I know it's not as fancy as other bloggers camera but it's 1000% better then the camera I was previously using so I'm incredibly satisfied with this camera.

What I Got For Christmas 2016
My mom also gave me that lilac colored Pink sleep shirt. It's cute, comfy and in my favorite color! My younger sister got me the Too Faced Bon Bon Palette. I've wanted the Bon Bon palette for a long time and I'm finally have it! Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the palette!

What I Got For Christmas 2016
My older sister got me a lot of amazing gifts. Starting with a cute Pusheen Weekly Planner, it's bigger then I thought it would be which is great because I can write a lot in each box. She also got me a Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Frosting and a Cheshire Tsum Tsum Lip Smacker, which is an inside joke because I'm terrified of the Original Alice and Wonderland Cheshire Cat. Another gift she got me was that pastel colored Starbucks Venti-size tumbler so now I can drink more COFFEE!

What I Got For Christmas 2016
My older sister also included a pack of the new Animal Crossing Welcome Amiibo Cards! I haven't collected any of the cards in this series yet so I'm happy she helped me start it.

What I Got For Christmas 2016
These are the last gifts my older sister got me. A Tony Moly Sweet Holiday Cream Foam Cleanser with matching sheet mask and a cute "Boba-saur" key chain with a Mimikyu sticker on the other side! The rest are candy that were hidden in my Christmas stocking (some missing because I might have eaten some yesterday).

Christmas Tag ♥ Blogmas 2016

2016 Christmas Tag
I was looking for a special something to post on Christmas but didn't know exactly what. However, when I read Emma's 2016 Christmas Tag I decided I would tag along and post my answers. I honestly love tags because you get to know random facts about the blogger that you wouldn't have know if it weren't for these tags. Enjoy and I hope you all had a lovely Christmas (if you celebrate it).

A Kpop Christmas Playlist ♥ Blogmas 2016

I've mentioned before I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas songs. I find them annoying, obnoxious and way overplayed. But there are a couple Christmas songs that I do enjoy listening to on Christmas and whilst wrapping Christmas gifts. Today I'm sharing my favorite Kpop Christmas songs that I've discovered through the year. It's so depressing to see some of these past videos because most of them aren't together or apart of that entertainment company anymore. Down below I posted a playlist with all of my favorite kpop Christmas songs and music videos. I would've posted an actual playlist but Spotify doesn't contain too many kpop songs so I went with a Youtube playlist instead. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

What's your favorite Christmas song?

Christmas Is This Weekend ♥ The Weekend Guide #38

The Weekend Guide
Christmas is only 2 days away! I'm so excited! I'm also glad to finally be finished with the 12 Days of DIY. Down below I linked all 12 projects in case you missed a post. I hope you enjoyed all the posts and look forward to next year's 12 Days of DIY. I wasn't going to continue Blogmas after I finished DIY December but there are still a couple of Christmas themed posts I want to share with you guys so I will be finishing blogmas this month. However, I will be back on my regular blogging schedule once January begins.

Back to Christmas, I really hate that Christmas is on a Sunday this year because that means I only get one day to savor all the Christmas-ness. Then the following morning I have work, which suck!. I also had work today (on a Friday which I never do but I did have the rest of the week off). Working anytime near any holiday sucks because people get super rude and crazy. Anyways, I'm going to try to enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas as much as I can. I will also be posting blog posts on both of those days so if you're not celebrating then at least you can look forward to those posts.

Mimikyu Plush ♥ 12 Days of DIY

DIY Mimikyu Plush
On the eleventh day of 12 Days Of DIY I crocheted for you, a Mimikyu plush! Yes! Another Pokemon Sun and Moon Pokemon! After I made Popplio I wanted to make my second favorite Pokemon from Sun and Moon, Mimikyu. Mimikyu is Pokemon that disguises itself under a Pikachu veil. The black parts on the body are Mimikyu's eye. You are able to see Mimikyu's black feet under the Pikachu cloth but I decided not to make that part. Some may say Mimikyu is creepy but I have sympathy towards it because it dresses up as Pikachu because it's lonely and wants to make friends.

DIY Mimikyu Plush

- Sc 24 sts. Total = 24 sts
- 2 sc in next st, sc 1 sts (x8). Total = 32 sts
- Sc 32 sts (x6). Total = 32 sts
*start stuffing*

*Cc to black*
- Sc 6 sts. Total = 6 sts
- Dec 1. sc 1 st (x2). Total = 4 sts
- Sc 4 sts. Total = 4 sts
- Dec 2. Total = 1 st
Cut off

Weave in ends. If you want Mimikyu's ears to blend cut out a small piece of copper wire and add to the top part of the ear (this step in optional though). Stuff the bottom part of the ear  (not the black part) and sew the ear closed. Repeat the same on the other ear.

DIY Mimikyu Plush
- Ch 6, slst to form circle. Total = 6 sts
- 2 sc in each st, sc 1 st (x6). Total = 12 sts

- Dec 1, sc 1 st (x12). Total = 12 sts
- Dec 1, sc 1 st (x4). Total = 6 sts

- Don't turn and ch 6 sts, sc 6 (attach to the side stitch from previous row)
- Ch 1, turn, sc 6 sts (x4). Total = 6 sts
Cut off, leave long tail for sewing

Lay the two parts on top of each other and sew together. Attach the tail by sewing it to the body. Sew the first square to the tail to the body so that Mimikyu's tail sticks up slightly.

DIY Mimikyu Plush
For the face I used a plastic bag, glue, yarn and thread. First, I drew out Mimikyu's eyes, cheeks and month on the plastic bag and then I placed the thread in the cheek and eye spaces. I did the same for the month but used black yarn because Mimikyu's mouth in thicker looking. Wait until the glue is completely dry then carefully peel off all the pieces. Glue the all the parts onto the face and you are done with Mimikyu's face!

DIY Mimikyu Plush
Now it's sewing time! Sew the head to the body and your Mimikyu is ready to be loved!

Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack ♥ Beauty Review

Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack Beauty Review
Sleeping packs have become a new skincare staple in my routine. Especially now that the weather is a chilly. I've only used a couple of sleeping masks but I can understand why they're popular in South Korea. For those who don't know what a sleeping pack is, it's basically a gel-based cream "mask" that you apply as the final step in your skincare regime. The next morning you wash off with warm water and a moisturized skin surface is revealed!

Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack Beauty Review
Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack Beauty Review
"Multi Care Sleeping Mask provides moisture, nutrients and exfoliation care while sleeping. Containing active pumpkin ingredients vital for skin care such as rich nutrients of vitamin A and beta-carotene provides you with soft skin surface. Ingredients derived from nature such as natural enzymes, aloe vera and various vegetable moisturizing ingredients resolve skin dryness leaving the skin clear and moisturized."

- Moisturizing
- Hydrating
- Brightening
- Lightweight
- Refreshing
- Great for all skin types
- Lovely smell
- Affordable
- Cute hygienic packaging

- Too light for winter time (but a fantastic sleeping pack overall)
- Don't know if the exfoliation actually works

My Experience
As mentioned in my November beauty favorites I first tried a sample set of these a couple years ago. I'm pretty sure you can still find those samples online, they're great for traveling. Anyways, I've been using this sleeping pack almost every night for the past 1 month and I'm in love! It's a lightweight, rich in moisture, hydrating, fresh and has a nice smell. The next morning after I wash off the pack my skin feel ultra soft and my skin is glowing! Plus, the cute pumpkin illustration on the tube doesn't hurt.

Overall, this is an amazing sleeping pack, I love everything about it! However, I still don't understand how it exfoliates the skin. Maybe it's one of those products that exfoliates underneath your skin? Either way I haven't noticed it. I also think this sleeping mask is too light for winter, even when layered over a cream. So on days when my skin is feeling dry I use my Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Mask. Let me know if you would like to see a review on that next.
