What's In My Makeup Pouch ♥ Summer 2017

What's In My Makeup Pouch
Now that I am back from my summer trip I can show you all the makeup I took with me to Mexico. I usually write all of my summer posts before I end up leaving on vacation but this year I forgot to take pictures of what's in my makeup pouch so I am actually going to share what products I took with me and whether or not I used them. I'm actually pretty impressed with myself because I used 95% of what was in my pouch.

What's In My Makeup Pouch
For my face, I brought two concealers, The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer to cover up spots and the Essence Pure Nude Concealer for my dark circles. I also took two cushions just because I knew I would get bored of using the same cushion. I did order a new cushion for this trip but it didn't end up arriving in time so I took my Holika Holika x Gudetama Photo Ready Cushion because I took it with me to Mexico last year so I knew that it worked well with the climate. The second cushion that I took was the A'PIEU Wonder Tension Moist Pact, out of the two cushions I used this one the most.

What's In My Makeup Pouch
I took the Etude House Fix and Fix Primer Tone-Up in Mint but only ended up a few times, still glad I took it though. Another Etude House product that I took (I brought a lot along with me) was the Etude House Play 101 Stick Contour Duo. To blend the contour duo I took the Missha Water In Sponge, my new favorite sponge! I also took my mini Tarte blush that I got in my Sephora birthday gift. I ended up using the blush more then I thought I was so it came in handy after all.

What's In My Makeup Pouch
Last year I took so many lip products most which I didn't end up using. I made sure only to take a few of my favorite shades and only one new lip product. To prep and protect my lips from the sun I used the Sun Bum Coconut Lip Balm with SPF 30. Out of all of my lip products I decided to take the NYX Liquid Suede in Tea and Cookies along with the matching NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner, this is my favorite lip color and product from NYX but I actually didn't end up using the lip liner at all! I also took the Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Solow. The Peripera Airy Ink Velvet in Pretty Orange Pink was my newest lip product so I decided to take this along with me too.

What's In My Makeup Pouch
Lastly, the eye makeup. For my brows I took my trusty Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in #2 Grey Brown. To prepare my eye lids for eye shadow I used the Wet N Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer. I brought my Too Faced White Chocolate Chip Palette to use as my eye shadow because it's travel size and has a lot of different shades. I wish I would've brought another palette because this palette doesn't have enough browns. As for my eye I took the E.L.F. Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Black. I didn't like this eyeliner when I first started using it but the more and more I used it the more I got used to it and now I love it! I used Etude House Play 101 Pencil in #8 to line my waterline to make my eyes appear larger. For my ageyo-sal I used the Etude House Tear Drop Eye Liner in #3 Pure Sparkling Pearl. For mascara I took the Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara. Since taking this mascara I can now say that I prefer the false lash effect mascara more then this one. Last but not least is my heated lash curler. I don't use regular lash curlers because they make my lashes fall off easily so I use a heated curler to curl my eyelashes.

I'm Finally Back Home ♥ Weekly Edit

Weekly Edit
1. I'm finally back from Mexico! If you didn't know I was in Mexico for the past two weeks visiting family and I'm so glad to be back home! My trip wasn't the best experience but I won't go into detail let's just say whenever I go to Mexico I get super depressed and my anxiety is all over the place. This will definitely be my last time going.

2. Whilst I was out of the country I missed many things but my top two were my room and Lucy! Lucy actually didn't even go to my bed when I was gone. She sleeps with me every night and often hops onto my bed to sleep but while I was gone my sister said she didn't. It's nice to know that I was missed.

3. After watching the latest Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer I felt like replaying the Kingdom Hearts series so I ordered this game for the PS4 which contains 6 of the Kingdom Hearts games! These games will definitely keep me busy until Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out.

4. Now that all of my summer trips are over I'm excited about fall! Cooler weather, layered clothing, baking, and Halloween!

5. I ordered some Korean makeup from Tester Korea and it was my worst experience ever! I've ordered from Tester Korea many times but this time they just messed up. I will be posting a haul along with my experience sometime next week.

6. I am so jealous of everybody playing Splatoon 2! I was originally going to buy the Nintendo Switch as a birthday gift to myself but then I had to go to Mexico and that ruined my plan. I still plan on buying both but it may take a little longer than I thought since the Switch is still pretty difficult to find. Wish me luck!

7. Have you guys been enjoying all the summer posts I've posted so far? There are still a few summer posts left but after that, I will be going back to my regular posts. I actually want to start posting more hands on sort of posts like DIYs, recipes, and crochet patterns. These types of post do require more time and work but if you guys enjoy them then I don't mind working a little more.

My Top 15 Favorite K-pop Songs of 2017 (So Far)

My Top 15 Favorite K-pop Songs of 2017
If you are an active fan of K-pop (like me) then you know how much music comes out in a month that's why I make monthly K-pop playlists of my favorite songs that were released from said month. I originally wanted to post this in June because that would've been halfway through the year but I forgot! Better late then never right? Here are my top 15 favorite songs from 2017 so far, in no particular order.

1. Dreamcatcher - Chase Me
This is a new group that debuted this year. I love how different Dreamcatcher is from other girl groups out there. They have that metal/rock J-pop sound but they're a K-pop group. I hope they don't change their concept in order to become more trendy because I love their creepy concept. Btw they are coming out with a new song soon!

2. BTS - Not Today
Even if you aren't a K-pop fan I'm pretty sure you have heard of BTS so I won't say much about this song. This is my go to song when I just can't deal.

3. Zion T - Complex (Ft. G-Dragon)

4. CLC - Hobgoblin
Since Hyuna helped produced this song I like to think of this as the song 4Minute would've promoted if they haven't disbanded. With that said, I hope CLC continues to make songs like this because I really loved this song!

5. KARD - Don't Recall
KARD is a coed group that recently debuted. Don't Recall is one of their pre-debut songs. Today this day I can't get out of my head! At first, I wasn't a fan of EDM in K-pop but this song changed my mind.

6. DAY6 - How Can I Say
DAY6 has been releasing 2 songs every month since the beginning of the year and all of them are amazing! I have yet to find a song of theirs that I not love.

7. Code Kunst - Stronger (Ft. Loco + Mino)

8. GFriend - Fingertip

9. Highlight - Plz Don't Be Sad
After everything that B2ST went through with starting a new company and rebranding themselves this is the perfect single to start out as Highlight. They remind their fans that they're alright and that they should keep smiling instead of feeling sad.

10. Hyukoh - Wanli

11. Jong Up - Try My Luck
Such a sexy sounding song by one of the sexiest members of BAP.

12. Black Pink - As If It's Your Last
My favorite song by Black Pink! I'm not a huge fan of Blank Pink but this song is so catchy!

13. Red Velvet - Red Flavor

14. ZICO - Artist
My latest ear worn is this song by ZICO. His whole album is amazing but what I love about Artist is the music video! It's colorful and so much fun!

15. EXO - Ko Ko Bop

My Skincare Notebook ♥ Summer 2017

My Skincare Notebook
A couple months ago I came across this post on skin care diaries.Since I am someone who is always going through skin care products I thought keeping a skincare diary was a brilliant idea, so I made one. I used the Memebox notebook that I received in a Memebox (btw what happened to them?) since it has a bunch of illustrations of skin care all over the cover. Today I will be showing you how I setup my skincare diary and what I'm using.

My Skincare Notebook
My Skincare Notebook
On a fresh piece of notebook paper, I write down morning then skip a couple lines and write night, to indicate my two routines. Next, I write all my steps for each routine. You can either write down steps 1-whatever or do what I do and write the separate skin care steps such as essence, serum, cream, sheet mask, etc. Now time for the fun part, filling in all the skincare products!

My Skincare Notebook
Here is what my notebook looks like when filled with the products I am using at the moment. I also wrote the date there on the top of the page to remind myself what I was using at that time. This is also great for when you break out and want to know what caused it. Whenever I started using a new product I will start a new page.

I didn't include my previous pages (because I forgot) but I also highlighted and marked which products I loved and would repurchase and ones that I didn't like. If you are someone who uses lots of new skincare products then I would highly recommend you start journaling your routine in a notebook or add a page in your bullet journal.

Daily Masking ♥ One Year Later

Daily Masking
It's been over a year since I decided to start using a sheet mask every night. Since it's now been over a year since I've added this extra step to my skincare routine I thought I would share my experiences of daily masking now that it's been over a year. If you are considering daily masking then you might find this information useful.

Like I mentioned in this post at first I had no pimples or blemished for months! I was
When I first started using masks I didn't get pimples for months! However, that time has past and now I get them like regular.

When I first started using a sheet mask every night I dreaded adding 10-20 minutes to my skincare routine. However. after the third month, it became addictive. I am now at the point where I feel incomplete if I don't use a sleep mask.

Don't Wear For Too Long
This is something that I recently learned. You know those suggested times on the back of the sheet mask packaging? Well, they aren't just there for no reason. I would be one of those people who would leave sheet masks until the mask dried out but sometimes doing this isn't the best idea because the mask material or essence could break you out if left on for too long. If you've tried the same type of masks then go ahead and add a couple minutes but be cautious of new sheet masks you've never tried before.

Extra Essence Is Your Best Friend
I can't tell you how happy it makes me when I know that there is a lot of leftover mask essence in the packaging! The following morning I squeeze the liquid out and gently pat the essence until it absorbs into my skin.

Kbeauty Skincare Empties ♥ Beauty Graveyard #3

Kbeauty Skincare Empties
Every time I run out of a skincare product I save the empty packaging for weeks (sometimes months) in hopes of publishing a beauty graveyard post but I grow tired of waiting to build up a decent empties collection and end up throwing them away. However, I was running low on three products that I've wanted to review but never got a chance to doing so. Now it's their time to shine! Three products and three mini reviews all in one post!

Kbeauty Skincare Empties
Innisfree Bija Trouble Cleansing Gel
I'm still pretty new to the world of cleansing oils and have only tried a few others but the Innisfree Bija Trouble Cleansing Gel is one of my favorites that I've encountered so far. It's a gentle non-greasy cleansing gel that performs just as well as cleaning oils. I'm also sure that a Lush junkie would approve of the pleasant fresh scent.

The only downfall is that it doesn't remove all makeup and sunscreen in one go so I would recommend you use this as part of a 2-step cleansing routine. I would still repurchase despite this small problem though.

Kbeauty Skincare Empties
Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner
What I love about Korean toners is how hydrating they are. Not only do they help clear up your face but they're moisturizing which is why I fell in love with the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner. It's a refreshing toner that removes excess dirt and sebum. Reduces irritation and provides deep hydration all while restoring pH balance and it's also suitable for all skin types!

It's kind of pricey for a toner ($25) but you are definitely paying for quality with this one. I will definitely be repurchasing this toner again.

Kbeauty Skincare Empties
COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
This product I'm still not sure if it did anything or not. I bought this product because I heard everybody rave about this product and how it evened out their skin tone and blah blah blah. But honestly, I've gone a couple months without this product but my skin hasn't significantly changed. I would apply this every night with my hands and gently pat in the product (you could use it on a cotton pad but I preferred using my hands). The liquid is clear and unscented it basically felt like I was applying water to my face.

One thing I will note is that I do have a lot more visible blackheads on my nose but there were some days (while using this product) that I noticed the same blackheads but on other days they weren't as obvious. So I don't with this product.

Summer Essentials ♥ Summer 2017

Summer Essentials
It's summer! Whether you are on vacation, at the beach, working or just chilling at home here are my top essentials that I think can handy to have in the summer. If you aren't using one of these products in summer you might consider after reading this post.

Summer Essentials
I can't stress enough about sunscreen! Wear sunscreen every single day and reapply every 4 hours if you are going to be outside for a long time. To make reapplying easier invest in a mist with SPF so you can quickly mist while you are out. Remember to wear some SPF on your lips too!

Summer Essentials
Sandals are a summer staple. Find a couple pairs that suit your style and wear them all summer long!

Cooling Eye Stick
It's hot in most places during the summer so using cooling products in summer really helps refresh mine under eyes. The coolness soothes my eye bags and helps wake me up. Keep it in the refrigerator for a refreshing kick!

Water Bottle
Staying hydrated in general is important but especially important in the summer. Invest in a cute water bottle and refill as much as possible throughout the day to stay hydrated.

Summer Essentials
Lip Tints
Lip tints are my favorite type of lip product to wear in the summer. They're light, easy to apply and fade beautifully throughout the day. Peripera is known for their lip tints so if you are looking for a new lip tint maybe consider buying from Peripera. Etude House's Dear Darling Tint also has a wide selection of shades.

Summer Essentials
Sea Salt Spray
If you don't enjoy going to the beach (like me) but still love the textured beach waves apply some sea salt spray to loose curls for that tousled wavy look.

Dry Shampoo
To give your hair volume and texture apply some dry shampoo. My new favorite dry shampoo is the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo. It gives the same beachy wave appearance without the effort.

Summer Essentials
To combat your eyes from the harsh sun rays a cute sunglasses is necessary! Heart shaped sunnies are my go-to (I got mine from Target).

If you are traveling or just chilling on the beach some reading material is pleasant to have by your side. Get yourself a fashion or gossip magazine (or a book) and chillax.

A'PIEU Wonder Tension Moist Pact ♥ Beauty Review

A'PIEU Wonder Tension Moist Pact Review
The latest trend in the Korean beauty market are tension pacts. The original tension pact was made by Missha and since A'pieu is a sister brand owned by Missha they decided to come out with their own version that's affordable and aimed at a younger audience. The purpose of a tension pact is to get the appearance of a smooth and flawless skin. They contain a woven net that filters out foundation evenly giving a light even application without applying too much pressure. The foundation in tension pacts have a creamy texture and a higher viscosity, unlike regular cushions that tend to be more liquidity. The puff is also slightly different from previous puffs because they are "jumbo" which makes the foundation adhere better.

I know a lot of people say that tension pacts are different from cushions but personally, I think they are the same thing with slight differences. I have used many cushions but this is my first time using a tension pact. Did it live up to my exceptions? Keep reading to find out!

A'PIEU Wonder Tension Moist Pact Review
A'PIEU Wonder Tension Moist Pact Review
A'PIEU Wonder Tension Moist Pact Review
Product Description
"Moisture type tension pact which directs skin to moisturize. Wrinkle improvement, whitening, UV protection functional cosmetics. SPF 37 PA++."

- Moisturizing
- Brightening
- Contains SPF 37 PA++
- Natural coverage
- Light floral scent
- Packaging looks luxurious
- Convenient packaging (the Marymond one is way cuter though)
- Affordable

What drew me to this pact was the slim and sleek luxurious packaging. The foundation itself makes your skin appear healthy because it brightens up your skin tone giving a natural dewy look. The coverage is light to light medium. It's high enough to cover minimal redness, pores and small blemishes. The coverage is good enough to match even your skin tone.

- Only two tones (#21 and #23, I have #23)
- No refill

I don't have anything to complain about with this cushion. Obviously, it sucks that it only comes in two shades. One thing that I was annoyed with was that this didn't come with a extra refill like most cushions do but this isn't a cushion so I understand why they didn't add one.

Final Thoughts
Since this tension pact is a moist version it's suitable for dry or combination/normal skin. If you have oily skin then I wouldn't recommend this to you because it would make you look super shiny. They do have another version that would be more suitable for those with oily skin so if you are interested in this cushion I would recommend you checking out that.

Where To Buy
You can purchase the A'PIEU Wonder Tension Moist Pact here. You can get the Marymond packaging here.

What's In My Purse ♥ Summer 2017

Summer 2017 What's In My Purse
You know it's the start of my summer series when I show you guys my updated what's in my purse post. I've noticed in my past what's in my bag posts that I am always using my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac purse but this time I am finally showing you a new bag that I've been using off and on for the past year. I don't think I carry too much with me but I will let you be the judge of that.

Summer 2017 What's In My Purse
This is the bag that I am currently using. This is a pale pink colored bag from Forever 21. There is lots of space inside so I can store a lot inside. The only downside is the zipper, it isn't sewn completely across the bag so it makes it difficult to zip open and close. On the side, I have my Stella Lou keychain. She's just chilling on the side.

Summer 2017 What's In My Purse
Starting from the left I have some eye drops (I get very dry eyes), earphones, heart-shaped sunglasses with a wipe to clean them, my cow coin purse which I keep my cards, cash and coins inside, oil absorbing sheets and finally my iPhone 7.

Summer 2017 What's In My Purse
Here are all my beauty goodies. This section is always changing depending what makeup I am wearing that day. From left to right, Mario Badescu Rosewater facial spray, Too Faced white chocolate palette (great for traveling), Etude House lip tint, Supergoop! setting mist, It's Skin Mini Bebe hand cream, mini perfume bottle, Sun Bum lip balm, A'PIEU Wonder Tension moist cushion and Bath and Body Works unicorn anti-bacterial hand gel (it contains glitter!).
