BT21 Koya Plush ♥ Crochet Pattern

BT21 Koya Plush Crochet Pattern
Welcome back to another BT21 plush crochet pattern! If you're new to this series let me explain a bit. BT21 are characters by Line Friends that the K-pop group BTS imagined (click here for more information). Every month since December I've been crocheting one of the characters and sharing the pattern and this month it's Koya!

"Smart, but looks sleepy while actually thinking deeply"

Koya was created by RM (also known as Rap Monster or Namjoo). I basically just followed Cooky's pattern to make his body but added two huge ears and a nose. I couldn't find a purple that exactly matched Koya's so I just used a scrap of purple yarn I had lying around and I'm kind of satisfied with how Koya came out.

Sew all of Koya's body piece together. The only pieces that should be stuffed are his head and body.

With the white felt cut out a U-shape piece for Koya's stomach and two circles for his ears. Glue and lightly press to secure. You can choose either black felt or yarn to use as Koya's face (I used felt). Ta-da you are done!

Coffee Chat #16

coffee chat
#1 Tomorrow I will be updating my shop with the dolls I mentioned in this post.  If you are interested in one of those dolls make sure you are following me on Twitter or Instagram for updates.

#2 I'm so happy for BTS! They will be performing at the Billboard Music Awards again this year on May 20. I just hope that this year the camera focus on the group while they're performing and not the audience. Last year when BTS was performing all over US television they would quickly cut off the boys while they were performing just to show the audience. As a fan, I want to see my boys not a group of randoms. #justsayin

#3 I've been really annoyed with myself for randomly posting. I try to post 4 times a week and rest on Wednesday and weekends but now I'm just trying to post 2-4 times a week, still resting on weekends. I like following a posting schedule but sometimes stuff doesn't happen the way you want.

#4 Pusheen featured one of my photos on their timeline this week. I've been a Pusheen fan for years so it was a huge honor for me. Go check out the Pusheen official Instagram and double tap my picture.

#5 My second Vicksigh order came in this week. I bought another D.Va sticker and an adorable casual Widowmaker print. Look at this Widowmaker print! Amelie (Widowmaker's real name) in casual outfits is just too cute! Wouldn't it be amazing if Blizzard made a skin like that?

#6 What are your skincare holy grails? I need skincare recommendations because my skin is really bugging me and I still have no reason why. All I ever drink is water (I never drink soda), I'm pretty healthy, and I just washed my pillowcases. I'm still thinking it could be a product in my routine.

#7 My sister and I are going to go watch Avengers: Infinity War tomorrow. I'm so excited! We're going early so hopefully, there won't be too many people. The film is 2 hours and 30 minutes! How am I going to survive?

What I've Been Crocheting ♥ April 2018

What I've Been Crocheting
This month I've been crocheting a lot more than usual. It started with this cow plush that I finished, since then I've been inspired to crochet more fun projects without any purpose like crochet pattern or my shop. Today I am sharing some of my recent crochet projects that I completed this month, so far.

What I've Been Crocheting
My sister and I are obsessed with Chiitan (I think that's its name) videos on Twitter. It's this adorable Japanese character who is super clumsy. We sent each other pictures and videos of Chiitan all the time and laugh for hours! A few weeks ago I sent her a picture of a felted Chiitan plush and she asked me if I could crochet her one so I did. Let me know if you guys would like to see a pattern.

What I've Been Crocheting
I wanted to see if I could make that fluffy texture that I used on the cow plush so I crocheted a pink fluffy blob. This blob didn't have a purpose it was just to practice how fast I could create this texture because it is timely. After I completed this pink fuss ball I just left it on my desk. That was until it reminded me of cotton candy so I decided to make a cone for it and that's when it hit me, D.Va cotton candy! Sharodactyl has made several products using this D.Va cotton candy design so I decided to make a crochet version. I love how it came out!

What I've Been Crocheting
One of my goals this month was to update my shop with some dolls and it's actually going to happen! I've had this idea to make dolls wearing kigurumis for such a long time so it's so cool to see them finally come to life. I'm only going to post two dolls to see how they sell but if they sell out then I will make more.

This doll is wearing a pastel unicorn kigurumi complete with rainbow hair and a sparkly horn (yes, it actually sparkles!). The hoods can either be left on or off. She'll be up in my shop this weekend but follow my Twitter and Instagram to know exactly when.

What I've Been Crocheting
Here is a cow kigurumi doll. You guys know how much I adore cows so I had to make a cow version. This one isn't finished either, it still needs ears, horns, and spots.

What I've Been Crocheting
I mentioned in my crochet pouch post about crochet markers well here they are being used.

What I've Been Crocheting
If you've seen my last blog post then you already saw the sakura coaster. I tried making smaller sakura flowers but they didn't turn out well. So, yeah, those weird pink smudges are failed sakura petals. haha

Sakura Coaster ♥ Crochet Pattern

Sakura Coaster Crochet Pattern
Late March to early May is sakura or cherry blossom season in Japan. It's on my bucket list to visit Japan during Spring just so that I can witness the beautiful sakura trees bloom. Until I have enough money to travel I will just have to enjoy the sakura trees through online pictures.

Since it's cherry blossom season I wanted to crochet something sakura-themed so I made a coaster for your drinks. I have so many coasters in my room because I'm always drinking something water, tea, or coffee.

Sakura Coaster Crochet Pattern
Supplies:
- Pink worsted yarn
- H/5.00 mm crochet hook
- G/4.50 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle

Aberrations:
Ch(s) - chain(es)
St(s) - stitch(es)
Slst - slip stitch
Sc - single crochet
Dec - decrease
(x2) - repeat __ amount of times

Sakura Coaster Crochet Pattern
Sakura Center
- Magic circle sc 9 sts, Total = 9 sts
- 2 sc in each sts (x9). Total = 18 sts
- Sc 18 sts. Total = 18 sts
- 2 sc, sc 1 st (x9). Total = 27 sts
- 2 sc, sc 2 (x9). Total = 36 sts
- Sc 36 sts. Total = 36 sts
- 2 sc, sc 3 sts (x9). Total 45 sts
DO NOT CUT OFF! Coutine to petal pattern down below.

Sakura Coaster Crochet Pattern
Sakura Petal (make 5)
- Sc 9 sts. Total = 9 sts
- Ch 1, turn, dec, sc 5 sts, dec. Total = 7 sts
- Ch 1, turn, sc 7 sts (x2). Total = 7 sts
- Ch 1, turn, dec, sc 3 sts, dec. Total = 5 sts
- Ch 1, turn, sc 2 sts, turn, dec.
Cut off
Insert hook in the middle st from the last row.
- Ch 1, turn, sc 2 sts. turn, dec.
Cut off

After you've finished making all five sakura petals weave in all of the loose ends.

Sakura Coaster Crochet Pattern
Switch to a smaller hook,(I used a G/4.50 mm hook). To get that rounded sakura shape you are going to crochet a border around the flower. Insert your hook into a corner (preferably between two petals) and simply single crochet around the sakura, I did slip stitch on the tips of the petals to make the slits sharper. Weave in the ends and you are finished!

Have you ever seen the Sakura trees bloom?

Coffee Chat #15

Coffee Chat
#1 My Pastel Elixir animal tote bag arrived! Isn't it cute? Everything came nicely packaged with pastel confetti. Ellis also included a handwritten note, die cut sticker, business card, and a candy tube. I'm so happy with how the bag came out, the material is sturdy and the color looks lovely with the design.

#2 I have always had a problem sleeping at night because my mind always wonders at night. I saw another blogger feature these Vicks ZzzQuil Pure Zzzz Melatonin Sleep Aid Gummies and was curious so I decided to check them out. As soon as I ate one I felt drowsy and a few minutes later I was out! The best thing about these gummies is that they don't contain any gelatin so they're suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

#3 Avengers: Infinity War comes out next week! I'm so excited! Something you may not know about me is that I love Marvel and DC movies. I still need to watch Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther.

#4 These toys called Smooshy Mushy on Television caught my attention because THEY HAVE A COW! You guys know how I feel about cows so I had to go find it. The thing is that they come in these blind bottles so you don't know which one you'll get. I did some research before I went to buy because I really wanted the cow and they aren't the cheapest toy, $10 a pop! However, I didn't get the cow, I got a chick which still is cute but not what I wanted.

#5 This week I started studying Korean again. One of my goals is to learn Korean because you guys know how much I love Korean music and dramas, my goals are to be able to understand without reading subtitles. I started from the beginning so I'm just reviewing things that I still thankfully remembered. I'm determined to keep up with my lessons this time.

#6 I just found out that it's world craft week. April 16-22. If I would've known about this earlier I would've made this a weekly series because I'm very crafty. Oh well, I'll be celebrating the rest of the week by finishing some crochet projects.

#7 Aggretsuko is finally on Netflix! It's been on Youtube but only in Japanese but now I can understand the show. I may end up just watching the show with Japanese audio and English subtitles if I don't like how the characters sound.

Collective Sticker Haul ♥ Oh So Fawn + Sprinkled Pug

Collective Sticker Haul
Before I went on a no spending ban in April I ordered placed a few sticker orders (I literally ordered some of these orders on March 31). I've been waiting for all of my orders to arrive before posting the hauls. Since I didn't want to post one huge post I decided to split this haul into two parts. The second part will be up later on but today I will be spotlighting two shops, Oh So Fawn and Sprinkled Pug.

Collective Sticker Haul
The first shop is Oh So Fawn. I've ordered from Oh So Fawn before but that was a long time ago and it was a mystery bundle so I didn't specifically pick anything that I wanted. What I love the most about Oh So Fawn is the hand-drawn look and the colors used.

Everything came packaged nicely. My only complaint is that I didn't get the bunny freebie that was on Oh So Fawn Instagram, You would basically get these bunny sticky notes for free which sucks because I really wanted them and would've bought them if I didn't think I was going to get them for free.

Collective Sticker Haul
I fell in love with the Bambi inspired die-cut set and planner die-cut because I'm a huge fan of die cuts. These die cuts are printed on matte paper (not cardstock) and they aren't stickers, which I'm fine with.

Collective Sticker Haul
These are all the individual sticker sheets I bought. I'm most excited to use the Disney sampler, computer, and iced coffee sticker sheets, The variety bunny stickers came free with my order.

Collective Sticker Haul
This sticker book caught my attention because it comes with 5 sheets for $10 (there is another sticker book available now). You save a little bit of cash if you buy this sticker book instead of separate.

Collective Sticker Haul
I will definitely use these to-go coffee cups because I'm a huge coffee addict so I'm always using coffee stickers in my planner.

I also received this cute mini sticker sampler with my order.

Collective Sticker Haul
You guys know how much I love Sprinkled Pug stickers so I had to share some of Liz's latest sticker releases with you guys because they're super cute!

Collective Sticker Haul
These are the mini sheets (which you can get on the Sprinkled Pug Instagram) but you can get bigger sizes in the shop. Out of all these stickers, the tea bag and pancake stickers are my favorites!

Collective Sticker Haul
Liz has made all of the original Sailor Scouts and Chibi Moon but she recently added Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus. I hope she makes the rest of the Sailor Scouts soon!

What are your favorite sticker shops?

Inside My Crochet Pouch ♥ My Crochet Essentials

Inside My Crochet Pouch
Whenever I start a new project I whip out my crochet pouch. My crochet pouch contains all the necessary tools I need to start crocheting a new project. Over the weekend I ran a Twitter poll to see what crochet-related post you all would like to see and a lot of you were curious about what's in my crochet bag so here it is!

Remember these are just my crochet essentials that I use the most. Everything in the pouch serves a purpose but that doesn't mean I use each item every single time I begin a new project.

Inside My Crochet Pouch
The pouch I use is this one that I got off of eBay for a few dollars. The design is super cute, I mean it's in the shape of a milk carton! It's the perfect size for my hooks, scissors, and needles which is why I use it as my crochet pouch.

Inside My Crochet Pouch
Inside my pouch, I keep two pairs of scissors, one for felt and another for yarn. Three different crochet hook sizes, G, H, and I (these are my most used sizes). Pen and pencil to use for pattern writing and sketches. Yarn sewing needle. White thread. In that clear blue case, I keep crochet place makers. Measuring tape. Scrap piece of pink yarn from a previous project. Black safety eyes. Lastly, I have a MooeyAndFriends business card and keychain finding.

What are your crochet essentials?

Coffee Chat #14

Coffee Chat
#1 The animal tote bag that I help Kickstart was finally shipped this week! I backed Ellis because I adore her illustrations and all the work she puts into support animal rights. She messages earlier this week asking which bag I wanted because I pledged early on before she added the other tote bag designs, I was drawn to the unicorn tote bag but went with my first choice because I still adore the animal illustration. You guys can buy a tote bag of your own here.

#2 I've been drawing so much lately and love it! I always draw out my crochet projects before starting to help me know what shapes I need to crochet. Let me know if you would like a glimpse of my crochet journal.

#3 Has anybody else been playing the Retribution event on Overwatch? I'm really enjoying these game modes because it's like you're playing a story mode. I mentioned in my Overwatch guide that I hate the fact that Overwatch doesn't have a story mode, now only if this was available all the time. By the way, Mei's new skin is my favorite because her blaster has a mug with puppies and a tea bag!

#4 This week I had some really bad stomach aches which weren't fun. Googling your symptoms is never fun because you basically think that your dying (knock on wood that I'm not! haha). Finally, though I'm going to the doctor next week to check out what's wrong with me, a checkup is long overdue!

#5 My skin isn't loving me right now. For the past two weeks, I've been living with pimples on my left side and nose and it's really getting to me. I feel so ugly! I wear makeup like 2-3 times a week but I constant;y feel like hiding my face underneath makeup. This is coming from someone who never had acne or any major skin issues growing up. If anybody could offer me some help I would really appreciate it.

#6 I've been trying to replace some my second iced coffee with tea or a matcha latte. I only drink two iced coffees a day which I don't think isn't too bad but the time I drink them is my problem, noon and evening (sometimes around 11pm). I'm not trying to reduce my coffee intake or anything just trying to schedule my coffees better so that I can sleep better at night.

#7 This post on how I'm changing my life in 365 days really spoke out to me. I NEED to change my life because I am so unhappy with how my life is at the moment. I feel as if I haven't done anything productive with my life ever since I graduated high school and need to at least start doing something because time is just flying by. My dreams got killed (not literally) a long time ago and still haven't let them go because there is still some hope in my heart that I can find a way to make them happen. My younger sister is graduated high school this year and I feel like she has her life more together than me. I don't know what to do.
