Where I've Been ♥ Update

Update
Some of you may be wondering where I've been, right? Well, last Friday our wifi connection randomly stopped working so we didn't have any wifi for 4 days. Thankfully, it started working again on Tuesday. Not having wifi for 4 days was rough. What did I do? Well, I started watching a new K-drama, went out, planned in my Happy Planner, worked in my art/crochet journal, and listened to a lot of music and podcasts.

It's times like this where I should probably start scheduling my blog posts in advance because I had last week's Coffee Chat ready to go but I forgot to publish it. I didn't know whether or not to publish a blog post yesterday because it wasn't a day where I had scheduled a blog post. But in case some of you don't follow me on Twitter I wanted to make an update post explaining where I've been because I didn't want to wait another day to publish a blog post.

Over the weekend, my younger sister graduated from High School and we had a party over the weekend. I couldn't find any cute Graduation cards or plushies (at a reasonable price) so I decided to personalize my own. I made the graduation hat and diploma with felt and thread. I also crocheted a Stormy card because my sister is a huge fan of Pusheen. I made a Pusheen card for her birthday and now she has a Stormy card. Let me know if you would like to see a crochet pattern.

What have you been up to?

Games That Influenced Me ♥ Favorite Video Games

Games That Changed My Life
A couple weeks ago I saw "the 4 games that changed your life" or something like that trending on Twitter. I thought about tweeting my four games that impacted my childhood but I simply couldn't pick just 4 games. If you didn't know I've been gaming since I was very young so its a huge part of my life.

Instead of sharing 4 games I picked some of my favorite games that really influenced my life. I won't go too far into detail about each game but instead just share a few of my favorite things about the game. Sorry in advance for the long post! I'm very passionate when it comes to video games. haha

Sypro the Dragon
I'm pretty sure this was one of the first games that I completed. The whole game is pretty whimsicalness because of the dragons, various realms, and fairies. I would always get excited when I saw a crystal dragon statue! We still have our original Play Station so a few years ago my younger sister and I replayed the game. They are releasing a new version later this year! I've seen some graphics online and they're breathtaking!

Tekken
I got into fighting games at a young age because my younger cousin would play Tekken and whenever we had family gatherings all of us (the rest of my cousins) would play multiplayer together. I don't think my parents ever bought me a copy of Tekken probably because of violence or the fact that you had to be of certain age to buy the games.

My favorite thing about Tekken was the diversity of the characters. They all came from different countries and some spoke different languages. Tekken 7 is probably my favorite release so far because almost half of the fighters are women, back in the day they only had 2-3 female characters. I think most people think gaming is for boys (*eye roll*) so seeing more playable women characters in video games is very empowering.

Tomb Raider
Speaking of empowering, let's talk about Tomb Raider! I actually never played Tomb Raider or at least not the actual game. Again, I was really young when the game came out so I would watch my dad and then my older sister play. The only parts I would play was the pregame when Lara was in her mansion. I especially loved playing the second Tomb Raider game because her estate was fully furnished and I got to see more details of her home.

Pokemon
Pokemon was a huge part of my childhood. I would watch the movies, collect the cards, and the video games. I played Silver and Ruby on the Gameboy but mostly remember playing Ruby. I only caught cute Pokemon and would always use Everstones on my starter Pokemon because I thought they look ugly when evolved (I still do this, haha). When I was younger my favorite part was leveling up the Pokemon and building a bond with them but now I just want to finish the game asap.

Final Fantasy 3
It was Final Fantasy 3 that got me into RPG games. My older sister always played Final Fantasy games but I was always intimidated by them because they looked complex. When Square Enix released the remake of FF3 for Nintendo DS I thought it was the perfect opportunity for me to start. I adore the tales the Final Fantasy series follow and because of FF3, I started playing more RPGs like played Bravely Default.

Kingdom Hearts
Another RPG that influenced my life was Kingdom Hearts. The main story is kind of corny but I think what makes Kingdom Hearts popular is the combination of Square Enix and Disney characters and worlds. I mean it's kind of amazing to see Sephiroth and Donald Duck battling at the Olympus Colosseum in the same game. haha

Animal Crossing
I've been playing Animal Crossing since the Game Cube days and have played every release since. Everyone has probably heard or played AC now but back when it was on the Game Cube it was a lot simpler and relaxing (it was still addictive back then too, lol). It's amazing to see how far they've come since their first game and now they even have apps. My favorite titles are City Folk, New Leaf, and Happy Home Designer.

Splatoon
When they first announced Splatoon I remember rolling my eyes and that the games were "for kids" but when we bought the Wii U we bought the bundle with Splatoon and after a few sessions I was obsessed! When it comes to video games I love the story mode because it's like an interactive movie that you can control but with Splatoon I prefer playing the multiplayer and can careless about the story mode. Splatoon 2 is even better in my opinion.

Overwatch
The most recent game to make my favorites list is Overwatch. I've never been someone who enjoys shooting games but Overwatch is much more than a shooting game, in my opinion, it's a lifestyle (as cheesy as that sounds). Similar to Tekken, Overwatch contains a variety of characters with different backgrounds that come together in one game. Not only that but the community of Overwatch is really supportive, creative, and positive (for the most part). I made a huge guide on Overwatch which you can read about here where I go more in-depth about the game.

BT21 Shooky Plush ♥ Crochet Pattern

BT21 Shooky Plush
Are you ready to be shook? Shook-y that is! Because today I'm showing you how to crochet Shooky from BT21. This is probably the easier charterer I made because it's literally just a circle/ball shape with arm and legs sticky out.

"Magic cookie with special powers. Scared of milk."

Created by Suga but if you look at the BT21 making videos then you can tell Suga wasn't as interested as some of the other BTS members when making their characters but as time went on he started to get interested in the project. I think the only original idea that they used from Suga's concept art was the expressions used in Shooky's face.

BT21 Shooky Plush
Supplies:
- Light brown worsted yarn
- Brown worsted yarn
- H/5.00 mm crochet hook
- G/4.25 mm crochet hook
- Polyfil stuffing
- Black felt
- White felt
- Brown felt
- No-sew Glue
- Scissors
- Darning needle

Aberrations:
Ch(s) - chain(es)
St(s) - stitch(es)
Slst - slip stitch
Sc - single crochet
Dec - decrease
(x2) - repeat __ amount of times

BT21 Shooky Plush
Head/Body
With H hook
- Magic circle 6 sts. Total = 6 sts
- 2sc in each st (x2). Total = 12 sts
 2sc in each st (x2). Total = 24 sts
- Sc 24 sts. Total = 24 sts
 Sc 1 sts, 2sc in each st (x12). Total = 36 sts
- Sc 36 sts (x2). Total = 36 sts
- Sc 1, dec 1 (x12). Total = 24 sts
- Sc 1, dec 1 (x6). Total = 18 sts
*start stuffing*
- Sc 1, dec 1 (x6). Total = 12 sts
- Sc 1, dec 1 (x6). Total = 6 sts
- Sc 1, dec 1 (x3). Total = 3 sts
Cut off

Arms
With G hook
- Magic circle 5 sts. Total = 5 sts
- Sc 5 sts (x3). Total = 5 sts
Cut off, leave long tail for sewing

Legs
With G hook
- Magic circle 5 sts. Total = 5 sts
- Sc 5 sts (x2). Total = 5 sts
Cut off, leave long tail for sewing

BT21 Shooky Plush
Assembly
Sew on all of Shooky's arms and legs with a darning needle. With black felt cut out two circle eyes, eyebrows and a long hollowed 'D' for his mouth. With brown felt snip out a long D-shaped that can fit inside the hollowed 'D'. Lastly, cut out a tooth with white felt. Glue everything and press lightly to secure.

BT21 Shooky Plush
Now Shooky can hang with his best friend, Cooky!

BT21 Shooky Plush
Have you heard the new BTS album yet? What's your favorite song?

Epic Hello Paper Cat Haul ♥ Sticker + Stationery

Hello Paper Cat Haul
Can I go one month without placing a Hello Paper Cat order or haul? The answer is no, haha! Last month Hello Paper Cat had their anniversary sale with 45% off your order so I decided to place an order because there won't be a deal this good until Black Friday. I place a pretty huge order because there were so many cute releases that I just had to add to my collection.

Hello Paper Cat Haul
Can we just take a moment to appreciate these BTS Tamagotchi die cuts? I had to get all of them! There are also bookmarks versions of this same design. My order also came with a BTS cell phone die cut freebie which I'm very thankful because this design wasn't released until after I placed my order and I really wanted one. Thanks, Seriya!

Hello Paper Cat Haul
To my surprise the Makeout Mixtape Page Maker is much bigger then I thought it would be. In fact, most of the stuff I ordered came out larger then what I had imagined, I don't mind though. I adore the art style and colors used in the 90s Makeup Stickers which is why I bought them. Another freebie that I received with my order was that beret Elodie button which was a cute surprise.

Hello Paper Cat Haul
I fell head over the heels with all of the new Sailor Moon releases! I ordered everything with 90s Sailor Moon design such as the stickers, die cut and magnetic bookmark. The other Sailor Moon design was the Sailor Communicator which comes in die cut and bookmark form. Usagi looks so adorable!

Hello Paper Cat Haul
Here is the final loot that I ordered, 90s Elodie fashion, 90s Puppy, and Pink Daisy die cut. The Elodie beret die cut was another freebie, that makes three freebies! Some of these designs also come in stickers and magnetic bookmarks so check out the Hello Paper Cat shop if you are interested.

Coffee Chat #19

coffee chat
#1 Finally saw Infinity War over the weekend and it was amazing! I have two major theories but since I don't want to spoil anything I'll stay hush.

#2 Isn't that notebook the cutest? I won it in a giveaway hosted by Cate. She currently has a GOT7 giveaway so if you're a fan fo enter! Thanks, Cate! I'm going to use this notebook to study Korean.

#3 Ellis's video on depression really hit home for me. I can really relate to not feeling like yourself anymore and not putting any effort in things that you used to like doing, like outfits. Ellis really inspires me to work on my shop and brand because I love how much effort she puts into her shop.

#4 Skincare Update: It's only been a week since I started my new regime but I can already report that my skin texture has changed and it's so soft! I want to test this routine for a month or two before making an official skincare post. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter if you want to see what products I'm using.

#5 So many of my favorite creators and artists have Patreons and I'm kind of intrigued by the idea. I think a monthly club-like subscription would be so much fun but I don't think I would have enough supporters or ideas to start one. I don't know. Let me know your opinions and if I were to start a Patreon what would you like to see.

#6 Who else it getting up earlier tomorrow to watch the coverage of the Royal Wedding? I know I will be waking up making a cup of tea and watching!

#7 Have you seen/heard BTS latest music video? It already has over 20 million views and the day isn't even other yet! I'm so proud of them! I can't wait to listen to the entire album later today. I'm so pumped to see them perform at the Billboard Music Awards this weekend.

My Makeup Collection ♥ Storage + Organization

If you read this post then you know that I recently gave my room a nice spring cleanse, this includes my makeup area. I try to keep my makeup storage clean by getting rid of old dated beauty products because I don't want my skin to break out. I don't think I own that much makeup, to begin with, but you be the judge.

My Makeup Collection
My makeup area sits underneath my television which is attached to the wall, hence the cables. This is my makeshift makeup vanity but without a chair to sit on. Yes, I stand up when I do my makeup.

I use this desktop storage I bought from Michaels. I thought that each square would individually open but as you will see in the pictures they don't. On the sides, I keep two teal-colored baskets where I keep my skincare and haircare products.

My Makeup Collection
On top of my makeup storage, I keep my makeup brushes, vanity mirror, my Tony Moly animal sticks, a few of my favorite lip products and Soap + Glory hand food.

My Makeup Collection
Let's take a look at whats inside my makeup drawers. In the left section, I keep random stuff like beauty samples, spongesDIY sheet mask packs, etc. In the middle, I keep eye makeup like mascara, eyeliner, eyebrow products, etc. In the right, I keep most of my lip products.

My Makeup Collection
Now onto the middle drawer. On the left, I keep my bb creams and concealers. In the middle and right sections is where I keep all of my cushions.

My Makeup Collection
Finally, the bottom drawer! The left section contains all of my eyeshadow palettes, mainly Too Faced palettes. On the right, I keep face products like blushes, primers, contour, etc.

Where do you keep your makeup?

Coffee Chat #18

coffee chat
#1 Thank you for all the support in my last coffee chat. I wasn't sure if I wanted to share that I started consoling because it's kind of personal but a lot of you have been very encouraging which is so sweet. My family has also been very supportive of me getting help and even check up on me throughout the day asking if I'm feeling alright.

#2 Ever since I cleaned my room I've been appreciating it more which inspired to share pictures of my room this week. There is nothing better than a tidy room!

#3 The new Overwatch Pink Mercy skin is everything! Vicki (the one who illustrations the D.Va and Widowmaker prints) designed a pink Mercy shirt.100% of the proceeds of the shirt and Mercy skin goes to Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I already bought both!

#4 I'm starting a new skincare routine today and I'm really excited. Hopefully, some of these products will heal my skin, if they do I will type up a post or would a haul be better?

#5 This post on 5 things to do when you're overwhelmed is really helpful. I often get overwhelmed with things that I want to do that I end up not doing anything but this post was very eyeopening.

#6 This week has been really productive for me. This weekend I plan to keep this going and tackle some blog tasks.  I also want to squeeze in some quality Netflix time because I really want to start Busted. Has anybody seen it yet?

#7 I've started including the Tone It Up daily moves to my workout to go along with my plank challenge. Even if I don't have a full workout day I still try to incorporate these moves into my routine.

My Travelers Notebook Collection ♥ Set Up + Flip Through

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
I've been teasing about my traveler's notebooks for months but now I'm finally sharing my traveler's journals. That's right, I have more than one! I didn't want to make this post too long so instead of showing each page I will just share the highlight pages.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
This is technically not a travelers journal because it's a tad bit wider than a traditional travelers notebook but it has a similar style. This journal is from Target and made by MayDay Designs. I adore the pastel pink color and rose gold hardware detail but I loathe the inside pocket because of its odd D-shape. I even tried adding those clear sticker pockets but I couldn't find one that fits.

I didn't share any pictures of this journal because the inside isn't as cute as I would like it to be. Let me know if you would like to see a separate post on the inside though and maybe it will encourage me to decorate it more. haha

The Eevee is from Love Neen and the D.Va sticker is by Vicki.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
These two adorable journals are from Michael's Craft Store, each was less than $10! These look more like classic Midori because they're around the same size, the purple one doesn't have any pockets on the inside so it's like a traditional Midori.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
Inside the unicorn journal on the left side, I keep various die cuts and sticky notes from Oh So Fawn in a stick-on pocket that I attached. In the large pocket, I have some stickers tabs from a stationery bundle from Michaels. The notebook on the right is also from Michaels, pretty all the add-ons are from Michaels.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
Inside these transparent pockets, I keep various stickers from Little Miss Paintbrush.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
On the other side of the clear pockets is one large flat pocket where I keep two dessert post-it notes. On the right side, I have another shaker dashboard.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
At the back of the journal I have another stick-on pocket with stickers and die cuts from Stationery Heaven Co and sticky tabs. Behind this is a hidden pocket where I keep my GOT7 page maker. Behind that, I keep an Oh So Fawn sticker book and a Christmas die cut from The Angel Shoppe. There is also a pen loop where my trusty black Pilot Juice 0.7 rests.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
The other Travelers notebook is still new so I haven't had the chance to decorate and organize it yet. I'll just share these pages with you because I quite like it.

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
The back of the polaroid notebook is so cute!

Travelers Notebook Set Up + Flip Through
Do you own a Travelers Notebook?
