14 Lovely Weekend Things ♥ July 2019

14 Lovely Weekend Things
I haven't posted lovely things in a while and since I just spent the weekend in Orlando, FL celebrating my birthday I thought it would be a fun way to take a look back and sharing some of my favorite moments from this trip.

- Caught up on podcasts. They made the 7-hour car trip fly by!
- Started reading a new book
- Shopped at the Orlando Outlets and picked up some cute things.
- Indulged in a yummy Disney caramel apple. It was decorated to look like the ball from Toy Story!
- Bought some BT21 shirts from the Uniqlo store at Disney Springs.
- Ate the most delicious vegan lavender cookie sandwich from Erin McKenna's Bakery.
- Went to Disney World's Epcot
- Got a new pair Minnie Mouse ears!
- Received a new Happy Birthday Disney button.
- Rode the Frozen Ever After and Soarin'. I never rode either of those rides before but they were really enjoyable!
- Impressed with the number of paper straws offered at Orlando
- Had an excuse to drink copious amounts of coffee.
- The new DAY6 album cam out! Love it!
- Scored a portable photo printer during Amazon's Prime Day!

Thank you to everybody who wished me a happy birthday. I had a wonderful time!

15 Disney Questions

15 Disney Questions
Not too long ago I discovered this Disney Question post on someone's blog (i tried searching but couldn't find the original post). I'm going to Disney World soon so I thought it would be an appropriate time to post this. Enjoy!

1. A scene in any Disney movie that you wish you could experience.
The floating lantern scene in Tangled. It looks so beautiful!

2. An unforgettable experience/moment you've had at the parks.
On my birthday, a lot of cast members said hi and I even got a free chocolate cake when I went to eat.  When it's your birthday ask for a birthday pin at the ticket counter and you can have the same experience!

3. What non-Disney song(s) reminds you of Disney and/or the parks?
There's this song by IU that has that theatrical Disney-like sound. I could see this song used during a firework show.

4. When was the first time you went to a Disney park?
When I was a baby we went to Disneyland but I don't remember a thing! We have a picture but I don't remember anything from that experience. This proves that your stroller baby won't remember anything so stop bringing them to the parks and taking up space with strollers!

5. If you could choose any Disney character to be your friend, who would you choose?
Baymax! I want a marshmallowy friend that I can hug and that can take care of me.

6. Who are your favorite Disney princesses (or heroines)?
I'm not a huge Disney princess fan but if I had to choose some I love Rapunzel, Elsa, and Moana.

7. Name a scene or moment in a Disney movie that never fails to make you cry.
The scene from Bambi where he loses his mom and the wildfire scene at the end. The realistic scenes are always the scariest because they can actually happen.

8. What is the first Disney movie you remember seeing?
Don't really remember? Possibly Bambi, or Aristocats, or Pocahontas, or Aladdin.

9. What is your favorite Disney movie?
This one is tricky! I like Mulan because she's a badass, the songs are catchy, and is so funny! "Dishonor on your cow!" is one of my favorite lines! haha

10. Who is your favorite Disney villain?
Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove because she turns into a cute talking cat with a high pitch voice at the end. lol

11. What is your least favorite Disney movie?
Sleeping Beauty. I mean she's asleep through most of the movie!

12. What is your favorite Disney song?
At the moment it's How Far You'' Go from Moana.

13. What Disney character has your personality or has your dream personality?
Marie from Aristocats. Sassy, classy, but still sweet!

14. If you could change any scene in a Disney movie, what would it be and why?
I mean Mufasa's death is probably the most heartbreaking Disney scene ever so if I could change that I could.

15. If you had to get stuck on a ride in any Disney park for more than 30 minutes, what would you want it to be?
I've been stuck on plenty of Disney Wolrd rides before but if I had to choose I would probably say the Haunted Mansion because it's dark and cool and I would like to check all the details to see if I could possibly find a real ghost which would be cool.

Would love to your answers! Are you a Disney fan?

More PURITO Skincare ♥ First Impressions

PURITO Skincare First Impressions
Ever since I posted my first PURITO first impressions I've been testing out more skincare products from PURITO which is why I'm making a part two! Last time I mentioned that I really enjoyed their products because they worked well with my skin and I saw improvements from using their products. However, this time I didn't have the same luck with their products.

PURITO only uses natural ingredients and are 100% EWG Green Level Certified. PURITO is 100% vegan and cruelty-free and even donate a portion of their profits to the Best Friend Animal Society. They also use environmentally-friendly recycled paper packaging and donated a portion of their profits to KFEM (Korean Federation For Environmental Movement). You can purchase PURITO products from Amazon here.

PURITO is currently developing a sleeping product and they want their customers to help create the product. Follow PURITO on Instagram for more information and updates on the release of the product.

*This is not a sponsored post and none of these products were gifted to me for free. I purchased all these products with my own money. All thoughts and opinions are my honest opinions. If anybody from Purito is reading this and would like to work with me feel free to contact me.

PURITO Skincare First Impressions
PURITO BHA Dead Skin Moisture Gel
"Farewell old impurities for a new start with moisturized skin! This product can deal not only with dead cell skins, but also impurities and sebum in pores at the same time. With a pH of 3.5, all skin types, including sensitive skin, can use the product safely. Hyaluronic acid ingredients replenish skin dryness caused by exfoliation and tea tree gently soothes the skin after exfoliation. The product exfoliates, moisturizes, and soothes at the same time."

I adore this product! I use it as the "sleeping pack" step night and if I know I'm not going out the next day I use it in the morning for a "glass skin" look. Even though it's a gel it's very moisturizing and soothing. Since using this I've noticed the blackheads on my nose have gotten smaller. However, there is one major downfall of this product. The SMELL IS HORRIBLE! I can't even explain what this smells like but just know you do not want this smell in your skincare. I couldn't stand it at first and thought that maybe I got a bad batch but after reading a few reviews I found out this was just it's the products natural scent which is unfortunate. You can purchase this product here.

PURITO Snail Repair Advanced Serum
"Through the sticky strength holding a snail, tighten up the elasticity of your skin! 99% Pure nutritional serum extracted from nature. Snail mucus with mucin, allantoin, glycolic acid and other ingredients, helps to protect broken skin, and is also excellent for reducing freckles and acne scars. Hyaluronic acid, panthenol, and Centella Asiatica ingredients increase the skin's elastin and collagen, making it the perfect product for anti-aging. With 93% highly enriched snail slime, it helps your skin's recovery in resilience, reduces acne scars and blemishes from sunlight. The snail slime also replenishes skin's natural moisture barrier and provides long-lasting hydration."

I was really looking forward to using this product because of the benefits but sadly, it broke me out. After using this serum a few times I noticed a number of pimples show up in just a few days. I tried the serum again after a few weeks but it still wrecked my skin! But just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. You can purchase this product here.

PURITO Comfy Water Sun Block
"Safe to use, with 100% non-nano mineral active ingredients & EWG green level ingredients. Comfortable all day, without the sticky and stuff feeling. Fixed makeup, without lifting or smearing. Minimize white cast, no clogged pores."

Like the description says, it's a very comfortable sunscreen. The consistency of the cream is just right, it's not sticky, it dries matte without leaving a white cast. One thing you should note is that this product has a strong fragrance so if that bothers you check out their other sunblock. You can purchase this product here.

PURITO Skincare First Impressions
PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream
"Give a safe and precious present for your skin! Centella cream contains 50% Centella Asiatica extract, which helps to soothe skin problems with an antibacterial effect and stimulate collagen formulation in the dermis layer. Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, and Niacinamide are the main ingredients for improving scars and strengthening weakened skin barrier, and Mild Cica Cream that can be safely used on sensitive skin."

I loved this cream! My only complaint is that I wish more product came in the tubes because I used this cream up quickly. As much as I loved this cream I don't think the price is worth the amount you get in the tube. You can purchase this product here.

PURITO Centella Green Level Eye Cream
"Stretch out the wrinkles in your sensitive skin! When aging starts, protein reduces, and wrinkles are formed. PURITO eyecream are made with the effective nutrients for wrinkles to penetrate deeply in your skin, blending 4 types of peptide elements that are ingredients of protein. Also, There is 49% of Centella Asiatica extract which helps people with sensitive skin, including eyes, to use comfortably. Additionally, there are panthenol and hyaluronic acid which form a moisture barrier to soothe and protect the sensitive skin."

The price is reasonable for the amount of product you get. I love that it's in a squeeze tube because it makes application easier. It's not that I didn't like this product, it's just that I prefer other eye creams over this one. You can purchase this product here.

My Favorite K-pop Songs of 2019 Playlist ♥ Jan-Jun 2019

My Favorite K-pop Songs of 2019
Can you believe we're halfway through 2019 already? That means it's time where I share some of my favorite K-pop songs that have been released so far! To be honest, I was kind of disappointed by some of my favorite groups release goods that are amazing but don't suck either. Don't get me wrong, there were some earworms that definitely stood out but some songs just didn't hook me in.

In this playlist, I will only be sharing the songs from groups that they promoted. I always listen to the entire album because there could be some hidden gems in the album that you'll only here if you're a fan of the group or artist (let me know if you would like to see a b-side playlist). Anyways, I put together this playlist featuring 20 of my favorite K-pop songs of 2019 that were released in January-June. If you enjoy any of these songs make sure to go watch the music video and view more songs from the artists.

Books I've Read So Far ♥ 2019 Bookshelf

I enjoy reading but it's not the first thing that comes to mind when I want to unwind I have other hobbies that I prefer to do with some extra time. That is why this year I made it a personal goal of mine to read one book a month. Since beginning this challenge I'm happy to report that it's only been six months and I've managed to read 8 books, and counting! I haven't read this much since I was in high school!

Down below I listed all the books I've read so far along with a brief review. I didn't want to make this post too long so I encourage you to go and read the book blurb if you're interested in a certain book. To stay updated on the books I read this year go and follow me on Goodreads.

Shiny Happy Person: Finding the Sun Between Clouds of Depression - Terri Cox
In the begging Terri shares her story about how her anxiety and depression developed and affected her adult life. In the end, she shares some advice for those suffering. Though, I relate to Terry I wish she would've shared some tips and advice on dealing with anxiety and depression.

Reasons To Stay Alive - Matt Haig
A book I would recommend for dealing with anxiety and depression is Reasons To Stay Alive. Matt tells his journey of dealing with depression and how he overcame it. If you deal with any mental health issue I would recommend this book. There is also lots of encouragement to keep on going. It was a comfort to read especially on days when I didn't want to be here.

Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond fear - Elizabeth Gilbert
As a creative, Big Magic was a very insightful read on the creative process. It was so fascinating to read about certain methods that happen when you're trying to create new projects such as burn out and stolen ideas. It makes you feel thankful to even be a creative person. This book inspired me so much I even made a blog post on some of my favorite lines I read from here.

Convenience Store Women - Sayaka Murata
What first caught my attention was the extremely cute cover art but after reading the description I was instantly drawn. While I didn't completely like the main character I could relate to her, at times. It was a quick read but the ending was unsatisfying.

#Girlboss - Sophia Amoruso
From the lady who built the online shopping site, Nasty Gal. Sophia explains her rags to riches story along with sharing advice to aspiring entrepreneurs. This was both entertaining and inspiring to read.

Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It - Kamal Ravikant
Another favorite that I recommend reading is this one! It's a quick read (you can literally read it in like an hour!) but the information I learned from this book is so helpful especially if you struggle with depression.  It's simple but empowering. I still practice things I've read this book to this day!

Gone Girl - Gillan Flynn
Thrillers are one of my favorite genres. I enjoy being on the edge of my seat and trying to figure out the story before the end. Gone Girl, is exactly that! I was drawn in from the beginning to the end! I can't wait to watch the film and see the story come to life.

The Loneliest Girl In The Universe - Lauren James
Another gripping read was The Loneliest Girl In The Universe. It's a sci-fi thriller about a teenage girl stuck in space awaiting her arrival on a new planet. It was really cute and I enjoyed reading the email exchanges. It was so fascinating hearing about the lifestyle of a someone stuck in space (even if it was fiction. lol). There were some unexpected moments at the ending that made me wish the book was longer.

What's your favorite book you've read this year so far?

6 Before 26 ♥ Lifestyle Goals

6 Before 26
Next month I turn 26, which I still can't wrap my head around! Am I still in my mid-twenties? Or is this the beginning of my late-twenties? Anyways, I put together this list of 6 goals that I want to accomplish before next month.

Complete Blogilates Challenge
Earlier this month I started Blogilates 28 Day Summer Sculpt Challange. I've done many fitness challenges so I know I can (and will) complete this challenge and even though there have been days where I almost missed a day. But I'm still here. I just need to keep it up and make sure I can squeeze my workouts even on days when I'm tired.

Clean Out My Closet
I was supposed to do this back in Spring but I kept putting it off. My closet isn't messy but it's full of clothes that I don't wear enough and just need to get rid of or donate. So, sometime between now and July 14, I need to spend some quality time cleaning out my closet.

Reopen My Shop
Something that I've been working on in the background is switching my shop to a different platform because I wasn't happy with Etsy. I've been having technical difficulties with this new platform but I've reached out to the company and they're working on fixing the issue so I just have to wait on their end and then my shop will be live. When it does open I will make a separate post explaining the changes.

Start Meditating Again
A couple of weeks ago, I was waking up first thing and starting my day with a delicious morning meditation practice. Since then I've fallen off the wagon. My biggest problem is that I want to start my day off with a delicious meditation but sometimes that isn't feasible for me. My goal is to integrate a 5-10 minute practice sometime throughout the day.

Read 2 Books
My goal at the beginning of the year was to read 12 books, one for each month. I just finished my eighth book of the year (Follow me on Goodreads to see what books I'm reading.)! At first, I started reading again to help with my mental health but reading has become a new hobby that I look forward to every night. Why two books? Well, two is better than one (at least when it comes to books) and I have so many books that I want to read that I've started to read more than one book at a time! haha

Complete My Hobonichi
June is the final month in the first booklet in the Hobonichi Techo Cousin. I still have to go back and fill in some empty pages that I skipped in April. I don't want to leave these pages empty so I need to find time to go back and decorate those pages with washi tape or something inspirational before I move onto the second booklet.

What do you want to accomplish before your next birthday?

My Vitamin Routine ♥ Vegetarian/Vegan-Friendly

My Vitamin Routine
I have a difficult time swallowing pills so I take chewable, meltable or gummy vitamins. Back in the day when I first became a vegetarian, there weren't that many non-pill options so if I needed to take a pill I would mash the pill. Thankfully, there are so many options now so you can take your supplements without feeling sick. I also explain a little as to why I took certain vitamins because if any of you are suffering from a certain problem I would recommend you do some more research on said vitamin.

All of the vitamins and supplements in this post are also vegetarian and vegan-friendly because if you didn't know I'm vegetarian and in the process of going vegan one day so I would like to be one step ahead by having vegan vitamins.

These products were bought with my own money and I wasn't sent any of these for free or to review. All opinions are my own.

My Vitamin Routine
BariMelts Iron + Vitamin C
About this time last year, I got bloodwork done and found out that I have iron deficiency anemia. Which explained why I would get really exhausted for climbing stairs or doing ceratin workout moves. I'm young and pretty healthy so I don't need to be feeling this fatigued at my age. I haven't gotten my blood checked since last year but I can feel definitely tell from doing those certain work out moves that I don't get as tired as I use to before. Since taking these vitamins I haven't felt as fatigued as before.

Bluebonnet Earth Sweet Chewable Vitamin B12
This an essential vitamin to take if you're vegetarian or vegan because your body doesn't produce B12  and B12 is mainly found in animals like meat and eggs which I obviously don't take. If you're a vegetarian or vegan and don't take B12, well you should.

Bluebonnet Earth Sweet Chewable Calcium Magnesium, + Vitamin D3 Dietary Supplement
One thing you should know about me is that my bones are very fragile! They literally crack every time I move and they make a very alarming sound. After researching online I found that I might be lacking calcium, my calcium levels weren't that low on my blood chart but not at a normal level either so I decided to start taking calcium regularly.

I found these on Amazon that contains calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D, all three are ideal for improving bone health. The taste is a bit chalky but they aren't bad, plus vitamins aren't supposed to be tasty but they're worth taking if they can improve your health. Since taking these, my bones still crack often but not as much as before and I don't feel any pain from the cracking anymore so I'm hoping that I'm tackling this problem.

My Vitamin Routine
Yuve Vegan Probiotic Gummies
In the past. I would get super painful stomach cramps and when I visited the doctor they never found anything wrong with me and told me that it was probably due to stress, I went to two different doctors and they told me the same thing. Finally, I decided to do my own research and though I can't comfim I think I may have IBS. I read that probiotics can help with IBS so I bought these vegan probiotic gummies.

Probiotics help with gut problems which is why since adding these probiotic gummies to my vitamin routine I haven't had any stomach issues! Probiotics can also be found in food that contains good bacteria such as fermented foods and yogurt. Before I cut out yogurt entirely from my diet I would consume so much yogurt (it was my favorite go-to snack) so I didn't have any stomach issues 10 years ago but the past 2-3 years that I've stopped eating yogurts my stomach pains have become really bad to the point where I couldn't stand up.

Anyways, I'm glad that I've added probiotics to my routine because now I don't get painful stomach aches and don't have to worry about getting an episode during work.

My Vitamin Routine
Vicks ZzzQuil PURE Zzzs De-stress Sleep Melatonin + Ashwagandha Gummies
I often have trouble sleeping at night so I like to keep some melatonin gummies by my nightstand on nights when I can't naturally shut off for the night. The first time I took these I was out! 30 minutes before bedtime I take one gummy and I'm out like a light! They have a few different versions but I've only tried the original and these de-stress, I haven't noticed any difference between the two.

They're also non-habit forming and don't make you feel groggy the next morning. They don't contain any gelatin either! Which is so cool that a huge company like Vicks is making gelatin-free gummies.

My Vitamin Routine
What vitamins do you take daily?

Crochet Art Journal Pages ♥ Patreon Preview

Crochet Art Journal Pages
This is a Patreon preview. For more posts like this and more pledge to my Patreon.

I like to draw my projects before starting so that I can get an idea of what shapes to make and what yarn colors I'm going to use which is why keeping a crochet notebook is essential. Today I am going to share a couple of pages from my crochet art notebook. I've had several crochet notebooks in the past but when my last one was complete I decided to get more creative and make a crochet art journal.

What's the difference you may ask? In a regular crochet notebook, I would just draw a quick sketch and write my pattern below. In a crochet art notebook, I draw (and color them) pictures of crochet projects that I would like to make in the future, it's more artsy fartsy. I also have a few pattern pages but I will show you those in a different post.

Crochet Art Journal Pages
Overwatch is one of my favorite games and one of the things I've been dying to make are some Overwatch-inspired dolls. Here are some of the ones that I would like to make in the future. D.Vais the first one I will make because she's my favorite! As much as I love crocheting dolls, they take a lot of work and I usually get bored/frustrated making them halfway through.

Crochet Art Journal Pages
Here are some more crochet doll ideas. I actually made that cow kigurumi doll, you can adopt here. On the right page, I drew some future Patreon ideas (yes, I know I spelled it wrong, lol). I also made that Mooey coffee cozy already, you can get it here.

Crochet Art Journal Pages
This is my K-pop fan stick pages. On the left, are the drawings of my GOT7, MONSTA X, IKON, and TWICE fan sticks, all patterns are available on my blog. On the right page is the BTS fan stick along with the pattern that I wrote on a scrap piece of paper.

Crochet Art Journal Pages
Here's a sneak peek at my next three K-pop fan sticks. BLACKPINK has been my most requested fan stick and they're supposed to be making a comeback later this month so it's one that I want to make as soon as possible. Don't worry you will all be the first to see the pattern!

The other two fan sticks are MAMAMOO and Red Velvet. I'm still not sure if I will be making the MAMAMOO fan stick but I'm nearly finished with Red Velvet's so look forward to that pattern soon.

Crochet Art Journal Pages
Last but not least is my favorite page in my notebook, my BT21 page! All of these were drawn along with their patterns in a previous notebook but after I completed the BT21 series I decided to cut them out and paste on to this notebook because I'm very proud of these patterns and drawing, even though some look odd. lol

Would you like to see more pages from my crochet notebook?
