SEVENTEEN Light Stick Plush ♥ Crochet Pattern

SEVENTEEN Light Stick Plush Crochet Pattern
K-pop boy group, SEVENTEEN recently made their comeback with 'Fear' which is why I choose their fan light stick to crochet next. They just released their third album, An Ode. SEVENTEEN has always caught my attention because their songs and albums are amazing! 'HIT' is my go-to song to workout to!

SEVENTEEN fans are called carat. The fan colors are rose quartz and serenity. Their fan light stick is called "carat bong", they just released the second version of the carat bong and it's gorgeous! You can use glittery yarn instead of regular to create version 2 of the carat bong.

Since they have yet to invented clear yarn yet, I didn't make the clear dome that surrounds the diamond/carat so I just crocheted that part without the dome and sewed the carat to the center of the base. If you use a sturdy enough yarn and sew properly the carat sound be able to stand on its own. Besides that, this crochet pattern is fairly easy.

Check out more of my free crochet patterns here!

My Favorite Inspirational Podcasts

It feels like I'm always listening to podcasts. When I'm tired of music or feeling a little lonely I pop on podcasts to comfort me. Almost a year ago, I shared my top 5 favorite podcasts but since then I've discovered more new podcasts, so I think I may have to post an update soon! Today I'm going to break it down and share 4 of my favorite podcasts that I listen to when I want to feel inspired and motivated. These podcasts have been extremely impactful to me in the past couple of months and I really think they could help some of you who may be feeling down.

On Purpose
One of my favorite podcasts to listen to when I'm feeling uninspired or unmotived is On Purpose with Jay Shetty. Jay talks about how you have the power to change and better your life in his podcast. He interviews insightful people on their journeys to finding their purpose in life. Most of the guests he has had on I've never even heard of but I find their conversions very inspiring. Some of my favorite interviews have featured his wife, Chrissy Metz, Dr. Oz, Dan Buettner, and Ben Leedle, and Marie Forleo.

Favorite episodes: 3 Myths About Manifesting Your Dream Job and 3 Ways to Start Doing It Right, 7 Things to Do This Weekend to Boost Your Mental Health, and 6 Reasons Why It's Never Too Late To Quit and Start Over

The Happiness Lab
A few months ago I took the Science of well-being course online, taught by Laurie Santos, the host of The Happiness Lab. When I heard she was coming out with a podcast talking about happiness it definitely sparked my interest. The podcast explains the science behind being happy and explore whether we can improve our happiness. Since this is a new podcast there is only one episode up at the moment but I can't wait to listen to more episodes in the future. If you're interested in this podcast I highly recommend signing up for the science of well-being course online here. It's really facilitating!

The Goop Podcast
One of my guilty pleasures is Goop. I find their articles to be intriguing. When I saw that they had a podcast, The Goop Podcast, I was was also drawn to it. The topics range from women's health, spirituality, women in the workplace, motherhood, nutritional, mental health, creativity, etc. Love Gwyneth Paltrow interviews but the other episodes with Elise are just as informative and inspiring.

Favorite episodes: Gwyneth x Oprah: Power, Perception + Soul Purpose, The Anxious Mind, How Do We Heal from Depression, Why We're Not Broken, and Why Fear Can Be Magical

The Boondocks
One of my favorite Youtubers, High Carb Hanna, and her husband have a podcast called The Boondocks, they talk about their experience being vegan social influencers, their journeys with the law of attraction all whilst living in the boondocks. They haven't posted a new podcast since June but I'm hoping that they'll return soon because I really enjoy listening to them.

Favorite episodes: Law of Attraction + Manifestation and Diving Deep Into The Law of Attraction.

What's your favorite podcast to listen to when you want to be inspired?

Hot K-Pop Summer Playlist ♥ Summer 2019

Hot K-Pop Summer Playlist
Now that we've entered September I can finally release my playlist with my favorite K-pop Summer songs of the year! I always like to wait until the end of summer before I share my summer playlist because you never know when a hit might drop! haha

If you've followed me for a few years, you know that I'm all about summer playlists! In the past, I've posted my Top 15 songs or favorite music videos but this year I decided to just post one huge playlist featuring my favorite songs from 2019 with that "summery feel" but I also threw in some chill summer jams to balance out all the hyperactive summer bops.

This playlist is huge so it's perfect for a long road or plane trip. It contains 40 K-pop songs from various groups and artists. The playlist is available via Spotify so you can save it and listen to it whenever you want it to feel like summer again!

Which Dry Shampoo is Best For You? ♥ Spray, Foam, or Powder

One thing that you should know about me is that I only wash my hair twice a week. Which means I use dry shampoo a lot! I've used several different types of dry shampoo in my life which is why I put together this guide to see which dry shampoo is best for you.

Why use dry shampoo? Washing your hair every single day isn't healthy for your hair because you need those natural oils to nourish your scalp. Shampooing your hair every day can cause breakage, unwanted frizz, and strip your hair from natural oils causing unwanted dryness and brittleness.

Spray Dry Shampoo
Pros:
- Best for when your on-the-go
- Most brands carry them
- Best for everyday
- Affordable

Cons:
- Results don't last long
- Runs out quickly
- Most don't work that well

The most popular type of dry shampoos come in aerosol spray cans. I have personally used this type of dry shampoo the most. Despite many brands having their own version of this dry shampoo most of them don't work well. But, it gets the job done and best suited for everyday use and when you need a quick refresh. My favorite is Not Your Mother's Plump For Joy Body Building Dry Shampoo!

Foam Dry Shampoo
Pros:
- Best for post-workout
- Freshens
- Volumizing

Cons:
- Takes a while to set
- Not ideal when you're on-the-go

As someone who works out often, one of the many dilemmas I face is when I should wash my hair. Thankfully, I discovered foam dry shampoo and it's changed my life! When you first apply foam dry shampoo it looks like you've straight up put mousse in your hair but after the foam settles your hair looks clean and volumized! It really looks as if you "washed" your hair. Since it takes a while for your hair to fully dry this wouldn't be ideal when you're running late.

Powder Dry Shampoo
Pros:
- Absorbs oil
- Volumizing
- Bottle lasts forever
- Travel-friendly

Cons:
- Messy application
- Builds up if you use too much
-Takes a while for the powder to absorb
- Can leave a white cast if you don't blend properly

Out of all the dry shampoos that I've mentioned in this post, the one I use the least is powder dry shampoo because I'm not patient and you need to be patient when using powder dry shampoo. Don't apply too much because it can leave a white cast on your hair (at least if you have dark hair) especially if you don't probably massage in the powder. The powder also takes a while to absorb the hair oil which is why you need to be patient. Most powder dry shampoo comes in compact packaging so it's perfect for traveling, unlike the two other dry shampoos. My recommendation is the LUSH No Drought shampoo because it smells amazing! I recommend buying the smaller bottle because you'll never finish the bigger size, you might never use the smaller bottle either! haha

Which is your favorite dry shampoo?

July 2019 Monthly Favorites ♥ Beauty + Lifestyle

July 2019 Monthly Favorites
This year I haven't posted that many monthly favorites. I think I only posted one other monthly favorites this year, so far. This could because of many reasons but I think the biggest reason is that I haven't discovered products that have left an impression on me. Anyways, in the last 4 months, these are the beauty and lifestyle products that I've been loving and reaching for the most in the past few months.

July 2019 Monthly Favorites
Dove Foam Dry Shampoo
Ever since Dove went cruelty-free I've been using more products from them. Their foam dry shampoo caught my attention because I wondered how foam dry shampoo would work. It feels like your putting moose on at first but instead of getting that shiny crunchy finish your hair looks clean and fresh afterward. I like using this on days when I don't feel like washing my hair after an intense workout session.

PONY EFFECT Sharping Brow Definer Eyebrow Pencil - Ash Brown
After trying the PONY EFFECT brow mascara I decided to try out the brow pencil. It's very light which is great if you want to subtly build up color. I don't like that it's very thin, I feel like I'm going to break it every time I use it!

OGX Smoothing + Coconut Coffee Body Scrub + Wash
This body scrub wash duo caught my eyes because it said coffee and I'm a huge coffee lover and love anything that has to do with coffee. The scrub particles dissolve within a few seconds lathering into a creamy body wash. After a few showers, I've noticed that my rough dry skin has started to feel softer! My younger sister is also a huge fan of this product and she is a hard person to please! haha

July 2019 Monthly Favorites
Kikumasamune Sake High Moisture Skin Lotion Toner
I've been searching for a moisturizing toner for a while. I've used tons of Korean toners in the past so I decided to start using some Japanese skincare. I found this toner by Kikumasamune on Amazon, it was recommended to me. Every morning I pump some into cotton round and dab it onto my skin to wake up my skin. The bottle is huge so I think it'll last me a while. The only thing that bothers me is the pump, you have to be extra careful because the toner will go everywhere if you don't.

Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream
Every once in awhile Klairs has some exclusive deals on their Amazon page. During one of these times, I was able to score their Rich Moist Soothing Cream for a reasonable price. This cream is so rich and moisturizing! If you have dry skin or currently live in a climate that's very cold I highly recommend this cream because it will keep your skin moisturized all day! Since it's still summer, I'm currently using this as a night cream but I will definitely be repurchasing this product in winter.

FaceTory SunBae Aloe Vera Soothing Sheet Mask
Most of you know that I daily sheet mask. I often go through these ruts where I get bored of using the same sheet masks over and over again which is why I went through a deep sheet mask dive on Amazon and discovered FaceTory. I've been testing out a few masks from them and so far the SunBae aloe vera mask is my favorite! After a tiring day out in the summer sun, I love ending my night with this aloe vera mask that smoothes my skin.

Keana Nadeshiko Rice Mask
Another mask that I've been loving lately are these rice masks. 10 sheet masks come in one packet so it's perfect for travel-friendly. I've used a few other masks that come in packs like this before but they always dried out quickly. However, all of the masks I used were fully soaked with essence til the end! I'm already bought a second pack!

July 2019 Monthly Favorites
Bright Bat Design Self-Care Plushie Pals
Another huge favorite of mine has been Bright Bat Design, specifically the self-care plushie pals collection. I ordered some stickers and notepad when the collection dropped online. In July, they released a few mystery bags so I jumped on the opportunity and ordered one right away because it was an amazing deal! I loved everything I received but especially this sticker. I have no idea where I'm going to place it yet but I want to put it somewhere that I see often because it makes me so happy!

July 2019 Monthly Favorites
Tea Time Usagi Planner Dashboard
This Usagi planner dashboard from HelloPaperCat has been one of my favorite stationery items. The design is super cute and the colors compliment each other really well. I keep mine stored in my Hobonichi. I have the matching die-cut and stickers!

Faux Pearl Heart Drop Earrings
This year, I've been trying to step up my earring game. I saw these adorable faux pearl heart drop earrings on YesStyle and just thought they would make the perfect pair of my earrings to wear with any outfit. I've worn these so much in the past month so they had to be included in this blog post.

Forever 21 Bow Hair Tie
During my birthday trip to Flordia, I bought this adorable bow hair tie from Forever 21 to hold up curly locks. It's super cute and makes me feel extremely girly! I actually ordered a black hair bow that looks similar to this from another website but the quality was really crappy so I'm going to go back to Forever 21 to buy another one.

HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer
For my birthday, I bought myself the HP Sprocket portable photo printer. I've wanted one for a while because I wanted to incorporate photos from my everyday life into my Hobonichi. The photo quality isn't the best but I love that I can finally include photos into my Hobonichi without using up all of our printer's ink. Let me know if you would like to see a review on this.

BT21 COOKY Keychain Pouch
My friends Seriya bought me this cute BT21 Cooky pouch for me. Isn't it the cutest? She knows how much I love BTS and BT21. It's the perfect size to store my HP Sprocket photo printer and some spare photo paper. The bag also has a strap on the back so you can attach to a backpack or wherever.

My First Youtube Video ♥ Hobonichi With Me

My First Youtube Video
Just wanted to announce to you all that I've opened a YouTube channel! This has been something that I've wanted to do for such a long time so I'm very excited to officially start posting videos. I plan on posting stationery hauls, Hobonichi/plan with me videos, flip throughs, how-to and crochet tutorials. So if that is something that interest you make sure to subscribe to be notified. I'm very excited to start posting on a new platform.

For my first video, I'm showing you how I decorated my Hobonichi spread of the day I went and saw Monsta X. I'm really happy with how everything came out. Editing was surprising fun but uploading took half a day to complete! As of right now, I don't plan on talking (because I hate my voice) but you'll have background music to entertain you. I'm not sure how often I will be posting but I would like to post once every 1-2 weeks.

Please let me know your thoughts on my first video and if there is something you would like to see in the future.

Don't forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe to my channel!

ColorBlock Passport Cover ♥ Crochet Pattern

ColorBlock Passport Cover Crochet Pattern
It's been a while since I last posted a crochet pattern on my blog. Today I'm going to teach you all how to crochet a passport cover. This is a very simple crochet pattern, ideal for beginners. This has been an idea that I've wanted to make for a while. Because I don't like simple things too much I made it a color block design. You can use whatever colors you like but I used pink, purple, and blue, some of my favorite colors. I also cut out various shapes out of felt to decorate the booklet but feel free to skip this part if you want a simple cover.
