Sun Care 101 ♥ Skincare Tips

Sun Skincare Tips
It's that time of the year again! The time you have to slather on sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Summer is the time when the sun is at it's most brightest, that means your skin is really vulnerable to getting burnt. Today I'm sharing some facts you probably didn't know about sunscreen and the sun. Hopefully these facts will make you think twice before heading out the door without wearing sunscreen. If you want more sun protect facts check out this post that I wrote last summer.

Protect Your Moles
The more moles you have the more at risk you could be to getting skin cancer so protect your moles! Wear your sunscreen daily (even on rainy cloudy days). If you see any odd shaped or colored moles make sure to talk to your doctor!

Apply 30 Minutes Before
Most sunscreens start developing and working 30 minutes to an hour. So make sure you apply before you head out in the sun. Don't be one of those people who apply whilst at the beach because you can (and probably will) get burnt.

Reapply Every Couple of Hours
Sunscreen wears off every few hours so make sure to reapply sunscreen throughout the day. Especially, if you plan on staying outside for a long time.

No Sunscreen Doesn't Equal Tan
I feel like a lot of people assume that if you want to get tan you shouldn't wear any sun protection but that is not true at all!

Find A Sunscreen That Works For You
Another reason why I feel like most people wear sunscreen is because they've had a horrible sunscreen experience. I myself hated the feel and smell of most American sunscreens until I started using Korean sunscreen. After

Have fun but safe sun this summer!

COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pads ♥ Beauty Review

COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pads beauty review
If you've followed my blog for a while then you know that I've been dealing with an epic skin problem, bold flushed cheeks! Since the beginning of the year I've been dealing with this debacle and I've had enough! I've tried many products such as aloe, daily sheet masks (which I still use) and skincare products that don't contain any alcohol but nothing seemed to work! I talked about how Curology did tame down a bit of the inflammation but I honestly think it was the COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pads that saved my skin from it's misery!

I bought these thanks to Hanbyul. She had raved about these in her videos before saying that it help clear up her acne so I decided to give them a shot. I know I don't have acne but I was hoping that it could bring down my inflammation. So how did it perform? Let's find out!

Product description
"One Step Pimple Clear Pad is designed to wipe away excess dirt, oil and purify clogged pores with exfoliating pre-moistened pads."

My Experience
I've been using these every night since I revived them. After I cleanse my face I swipe the embossed side of the pad in a circular motion around my entire face then I flip the pad over and finish with the smooth side. My face feels clear after I use these you can see all the leftover dirt and oil. They've been really helpful at clearing up my redness. I also love how convenient they are to use. You can easily throw them in your bag and take them to the gym or on a overnight trip.

Overall, I would recommend these pimple pads. Since I don't have acne-prone skin I can't really say whether or not they would work for those with acne.

Korean Beauty Haul ♥ Tester Korea + Ebay

Korean Beauty Haul
I always place a Korean beauty haul before I go on vacation for some reason. I guess I can't seem to get away from my Korean beauty addiction! This time I ordered from Tester Korea and Ebay (for quick shipping). I mainly bought travel essentials like masks, a mist, refills, etc.

Korean Beauty Haul
Holika Holika x Gudetama Lazy + Easy Face 2 Change Photo Ready Cushion BB
As soon as the Holika Holika x Gudetama collection came out I knew I needed one of the cushions. The packaging is too freakin' cute! I ordered from Tester Korea (because it was the most affordable at the time, not anymore tho). I've already tried the cushion a few times so a review will be coming really soon!

Korean Beauty Haul
Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist
I needed a new mist so I picked up the Tony Moly Pocket Bunny Moist Mist. I've tried the sleek version before and really loved it so I decided to try the moist one this time.

Lalavesi FW/Y6 Akma Cushion Refill
I had to buy a refill of my favorite cushion, the Lalavesi Akma cushion in FW. Last time I was in Mexico I used this cushion and it worked [perfectly with the weather and climate. The refills come inside the baggy. I was disappointed that the refill didn't come with a cushion puff.

Korean Beauty Haul
Secret Key Gold Racoony Hydro Gel + Spot Patch
On vacations we tend to stay out late and get up earlier so I bought these to depuff my dark under eye circles. I never used these before but the cute packaging spoke to me, hopefully they'll work well. You can place these under your eyes and on trouble spots.

Korean Beauty Haul
Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet Masks
A couple month's ago I tried these sheet masks by Tony Moly and loved them! My favorites are the avocado and makeeolli masks. I bought a set of 11 for $12 on ebay and they arrived in 2-3 days! Amazing deal!

First Week In Mexico ♥ The Weekend Guide #14

The Weekend Guide #14
Is it just me or was this week way too long? Well, it did for me! At least one of my three weeks in Mexico is finally complete! But, I'm honestly already sick of being here! I want to go home! I wouldn't have come if it weren't for my younger sister's sweet sixteen that we are going to celebrate next weekend. That's the only reason why I am here. I could write a whole book as to why I hate visiting Mexico but I will just endured the next two weeks, at least Lucy is with us (last year I cried every night because I missed her so much!).

While I'm at it I have to mention that the wifi at my grandma's house (where I'm currently saying at) died yesterday and now we're wifi-less. So I have no idea how I'm going to upload all my blog posts (I currently at Starbucks as I write this). That's why there was no blog post yesterday I will try to publish it tomorrow but no promises! Sorry in advance for the lack of blog posts. I will try to post as much as I possibly can since I already most of my blog post edited and written.

Pre-Vacation Haul ♥ Vacation Series

Pre-Vacation Haul
Today officially marks the first day of summer, which means summer posts! For some reason, I really enjoy writing and taking summer photos for my blog. I'm not a fan an actual fan of summer but the whole summer/vacation vibe is so inspiring to me (plus, I'm a summer baby).

To kick off the summer themed posts I will be posting my vacation posts first. Since I'm currently in Mexico I will be slowing posting my vacation posts within these two weeks. The first post of my "vacation series" will be a pre-vacation haul. Here are the last drugstore items I bought before leaving America.

Pre-Vacation Haul
Of course I couldn't forget about sun protection! They were the first thing on my vacation list to buy! I bought the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Face Sunscreen because I loved the Lotion Sunscreen so much. The formula blends in like a breeze and smells like a tropical paradise! I also needed a lip balm with spf so I bought the Sun Bum Sunscreen Lip Balm. The packaging is really cute and screams like a vacation lip balm, plus it smells/tastes like coconut!

Pre-Vacation Haul
Picked up the Simple Micellar Make-up Remover Wipes. I only buy makeup remover wipes when I go on vacation because using a makeup remover and cotton rounds just seems like too much work while on holiday. I'm not a fan of makeup wipes but they do their job by removing my makeup quickly. Also picked up another one of my all-time favorite deodorant, Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid in Waterproof (best deodorant ever!).

Pre-Vacation Haul
As for snacks, I picked up a few Larabars and a packet of gum. My mom bought a lot of snacks for the Mexico so I didn't bother buying too much treats this time.

My Experience Using Curology ♥ Beauty Review

A couple of months ago I was dealing with really bad inflammation on my cheeks to the point I was wearing foundation everyday! The red pigmentation was really bad and it really made me feel insecure because I never dealt with a huge skin concern before (I've never had acne or anything before). But after watching this Michelle Phan video I decided to try Curology.

Curology is a prescription skincare treatment personalized for you. You answer a questionnaire and send a few photos a few of your face and an actual licensed healthcare provider prescribes a medication for your needs. For $19.95 a month you get your treatment sent to you and get to have consultations with your provider.

My bottle came nicely packaged in this small white box. It's the perfect size for one bottle.

My experience
I sent in photos and explained the problem with my inflammation. My healthcare provider, Jasmin Chang, prescribed me with this treatment. I used it every night for about a month.

The providers were very helpful and really sweet whenever I had questions. But I did have to switch to another healthcare provider for some reason (forgot her name) but she was also willing to answer any questions I had.

At first I would use the whole treatment all over my face but then just applied the treatment on the infected areas. The first week I didn't see any improvement but after 2 weeks I noticed the redness cheeks had died down. It was a subtle change to the point where I didn't notice. Even when I felt warmth in my face there wasn't any noticeable red patches on my cheeks.

Overall thoughts
I was really impressed with the Curology treatment that I was prescribed with. I honestly didn't think it would work and calm down my redness. With that said, I did unsubscribed after I received my treatment because I didn't want to get charged $20 (the first month was free). I also don't use the treatment every night anymore because I found another product that I think calms my redness better then this. However, if my inflammation comes back I will start using this treatment again.

Would I recommend this?
Yes! If you have major skincare concerns I highly recommend Curology! I feel like they actually want to help you improve your skin unlike other a skincare companies.

This pamphlet also came in the box. In contains all the information you may need along with the instructions on how to use the treatment.

I also received a sample size of this moisturizing body lotion for sensitive skin that has no parabens.

Have you used Curology before?

Driving To Mexico ♥ The Weekend Guide #13

Weekend Guide #13
As you guys are reading this I will be on the road (probably in Mississippi) driving to Mexico. It's a 2 day trip so I will be in the car until Sunday! I'm writing this Thursday night as I paint my nails and finish packing. I get so bored so easily in the car so I'm packing lots of things to entertain me like a book, magazines, my Nintendo 3DS, etc. The first day isn't bad but as soon as we arrive to Mexico I'm ready to jump off! Nothing but mountains and desert for hours! There is barely any pit spots or gas stations either so my bladder is going to burst! Speaking of, the next two days I'm going to be so dry it's not even funny. I usually drink eight 16 oz bottles of water a day, but because I don't want to get off and pee every minute I'm going to lay off the water until we arrive to my grandmas house.

We are also bringing Lucy with us for the first time. I have never traveled with a dog to Mexico before but hopefully she will behave well. She was really concerned when we packed her bed and treats in the car. I bet she's going to worry like crazy when she sees the car packed with all our belongings. She's also on heat (which is fun) hopefully she won't be too messy in the car. We have taken her to Orlando before and she was alright but then again that was an 8 hour trip not a 2 day. Wish us luck! I will be snap chatting our adventures (user: mooeyandfriends).

Ear Worms
Hamilton: Original Broadway Cast Recording (After watching the Tony's last weekend my sister and I have been obsessed with Hamilton! She's been playing it nonstop and got me hooked too! I recommend listening to the whole album at least once then replying your favorites. I love the whole album but especially the first half.)

Worth Watching
Reply 1997 (Loved this drama! Best of the Reply series!)
Mischievous Kiss 2: Love In Tokyo (I started watching this with my sister last weekend. I really loved the first season of Mischievous Kiss and this picks up where that one left off)

Etude House Pink Vital Water ♥ Beauty Review

Etude House Pink Vital Water Beauty Review
The Pink Vital Water collection by Etude House was released in early spring. All the products contain pink peach water that is suppose to vitality, energy and provide moisture. I've used all the whole Pink Vital Water line for 2 months so I have a lot of experience using these products. Today I will be reviewing all of the products from the Pink Vital Water line and giving you my honest opinion on each of the products. Let's start!

Etude House Pink Vital Water Beauty Review
Etude House Pink Vital Water Beauty Review
Product description
"The vitality moisturizing care reduces fatigue and provides pink color vitality and moisturizing energy to skin."

- Moisturizing
- Hydrating
- Cute simple packaging
- Products worked well with each other
- Lovely light fruity and floral scent (fades quickly)

- The pump is annoying (on serums and emulsions)
- Eye serum caused pimples
- I wish the serum was bigger (like the toner and emulsion)
- Toner didn't do anything
- Toner applicator is difficult for product to come out

My Experience
I started using the whole Pink Vital Line in mid May. All the products smell and look similar. The cream, serum and emulsion all work the same but have different consistencies. The lightest of all the products is the toner followed by the serum, emulsion, eye serum and lastly the cream (also the same order I apply onto my face, aside for the eye serum).

I wasn't a fan of the toner or eye serum. The toner was way too liquidity for me. Out of all the Korean toners I've used this is the worst. It's still moisturizing but not as much as other Korean toners I've used before. It just didn't do what I wanted it to do.for my skin. The eye serum was very hydrating however the next morning it created small pimples around my eye area, so I quickly stopped using it so I can't give you my full review on it.

Would I repurchase?
I would buy the cream, serum and emulsion again. Not the toner or eye serum though.
