Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World ♥ Game Review

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World Game Review
Over the weekend I finally completed Poochy + Yoshi's Woolly World. I bought this back when it first came out earlier this month so it took me about a month to finish. It's basically a continuation of Kirby's Epic Yarn but Yoshi edition! I know they had Yoshi's Woolly World for the Wii U but I never played it so I can't compare the two games but from what I've seen online they're practically the same game.

The game starts off on an island filled with yarn Yoshis. One day the evil Kamek transforms all of the Yoshi into skeins of wool and scatters them throughout the land for his master, Baby Bowser. Yoshi and Poochy must visit all six lands to rescue your fellow Yoshi and reunite them back on the island.

There are two different types of game modes, the regular and mellow mode. In the mellow mode, your Yoshi is given wings and is accompanied by three Poochy pups that help you battle enemies and help you find hidden treasures. If you own other Amiibo figures you can unlock different patterns for Yoshi. If you use the Poochy Amiibo he plays alongside you and helps you travel and defeat enemies.

If you want a break from the story mode there are tons of other extras Poochy + Yoshi's Woolly World offer. You can design your own Yoshi pattern, play as Poochy, rescue the Poochy pups, play some of the extra levels, there is so much to do in this game!

Overall I love how adorable this game is! As someone who works with yarn, I love games that incorporate creative craftiness. As I was playing I noticed that it's basically like Kirby's Epic Yarn but with Yoshi. I've played plenty of Yoshi games in the past and it stays turn to the past Yoshi games but this time he is throwing balls of yarn instead of eggs. Some of the levels are more difficult than others, especially the extra levels! I haven't been able to complete any of the extra levels. haha

If you buy the Poochy + Yoshi bundle you get a separate yarn Poochy Amiibo which you can use to play in the game. It's really well made. It has a knitted texture and is unlike other Amiibo figures that I own because you place Poochy's bum on the Amiibo reader.
