Sea Salt Ice Cream Plush ♥ Crochet Pattern

Sea Salt Ice Cream Plush
Kingdom Hearts 3 was recently released and if you're like me, who has been a fan of the series since the beginning then you know that we've been waiting for 13 years for this day! THIRTEEN YEARS! Honestly, I didn't think I would be alive to witness this day! For those who don't know what Kingdom Hearts is, it's a game by Square Enix that features various Disney Characters.

I knew I wanted to crochet something in honor of the release for Kingdom Hearts but wasn't sure what. The first thing that came to my mind was the star-shaped Paopu fruit that was in the first game but after doing some research I saw that there were multiple crochet patterns already so I scrapped that idea. The next idea that came to mind was the sea salt ice cream that was featured in Kingdom Hearts 2. I couldn't find any patterns for this so I crocheted a sea salt ice cream with a Mickey Mouse shaped chain around the popsicle because I wanted to add something Disney-related and what better than something with Mickey, right? haha

2019 Hobonichi SetUp + Pages ♥ January 2019

 Hobonichi SetUp
For 2019, I decided to invest in an official Hobonichi! I was using a Stalogy notebook which is comparable to a Hobonichi but not the same. For those who might not know a Hobonichi is an everyday diary, one page a day for a whole year. I'm very excited to use a Hobonichi this year but also very nervous!

Since posting my last Hobonichi setup blog post, I've cleaned out, rearranged, and added some new things inside my cover so today I'm going to share my Hobonichi setup for 2019.

 Hobonichi SetUp
I'm still using my glittery rainbow Hobonichi cover that I got from eBay. I changed the clear cover to a basic clear because I thought the other clear cover was too much with the print. The rainbow band is from a kit I bought from Michael's Craft Store. The pink teacup charm from LoveNeen. On the side, I keep my Snoopy washi tape scissors for easy access for when I'm journaling.

 Hobonichi SetUp
In the inside cover, I have several different die cuts and stickers, for decoration. In the top pocket, I have a chibi cow die cut from HelloPaperCat. The pocket underneath contains an ice cream die cut I made from a card and Starbucks postcard that a friend gave to me. The bottom pocket holds a BTS V die cut and a travel coffee cup die-cut. On the cover sleeve, I keep a Polly Pocket die cut and a kawaii die-cut from StationeryHeavenCo.

On the right, I decorated the inside cover page of my Hobonichi. Most of the stickers are from Chichilittle.

 Hobonichi SetUp
Now, I'm going to share some of my favorite Hobonichi pages I've created so far. I spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at DisneyWorld so I decorated the blank pages before January 1st with the map of Hollywood Studios along with some Disney stickers.

Let me know if you would like to see more of my Hobonichi pages in the future. Maybe, I can share my favorite pages every month?

Hobonichi SetUp
Finally, we've reached the back cover of my Hobonichi. On the furthest pocket, I have a GOT7 polaroid die cut from HelloPaperCat and a D.Va sticker from Vickisigh. On the next pocket, I have a La Croix cut out and a cartoon that came with the Hobonichi. On the front pocket, I keep a Unicorn dango from StationeryHeavenCo and BT21 Mang card.

 Hobonichi SetUp
Are you using a Hobonichi in 2019?

Self-Care Sunday | Mantra #2

Mantra
I'm back with another Mantra this Sunday. I had originally planned a different post but the photos didn't come out the way I wanted so you'll have to wait until the next Self-Care Sunday to view the post.

Anyways, on to this week's mantra card. I shuffled and parted the deck and this was the card I drew out. You can use this card as an affirmation or mantra for the week ahead. If you have a journal you can write this on a page and look back whenever you need a bit of wisdom.

Apink Pink Panda Fan Stick ♥ Crochet Pattern

APINK Fan Stick Crochet Pattern
Welcome to my first crochet pattern of the year. This year I want to change up my crochet patterns, making them easier to read. I've been posting crochet patterns on my blog for a very long time and gone through different types of crochet pattern formats but after looking through my Ravelry page I noticed a lot of people had difficulties understanding my patterns so this year I'm going to try a different format from my previous crochet patterns. If you actually crochet my patterns let me know if you prefer the new or old pattern writing.

Apink recently made a comeback with %%(eung eung). I've always wanted to crochet Apink's fan stick because it's probably the cutest fan stick I have ever seen! Their fan fandom is called Pink Panda and their official color strawberry pink which represents their fan/light stick perfectly.

Youtube Channels That Inspire Me

Youtube Channels That Inspire Me
I've very selective when it comes to what I watch on Youtube. When I was younger I enjoyed watching a lot more unrealistic Youtubers but now I only like watching people who inspire me and K-pop videos. Today I'm sharing my favorite channels that inspire me whether that me visually or to chase my artistic dreams.

I love to watch illustrators, freelancers, small businesses because that's the type of lifestyle I want so these ladies really inspire me to chase after my dreams.

RainbowholicTV
My biggest inspirational is Rainbowholic, aka Kaila. She was the one who got me into kawaii journaling. Most of her videos are on stationery but she also sometimes posts travel vlogs and her life in Japan. Watching her dreams come true in the past year is very rewarding and inspires me to chase my dreams.

Ellis Woolley
I discovered Ellis on Twitter because a fellow blogger who I followed mentioned her art and soon become a fan of her art. She shares the ups and downs of running an indie business. Her studio vlogs are really interesting. I love watching her come up with new designs for her shop.

Frannerd
Found Fran through Ellis's videos. I actually followed Fran on Instagram for a while but I just recently got into her videos. Her channel is mainly about art and being an illustrator and she posts weekly vlogs regularly. When I was younger I wanted really into drawing and wanted to be an artist so watching her videos is really comforting to watch because it's like seeing the life of an artist.

Katnipp Illustrations
Studio vlogs are my favorite type of Youtube videos to watch. My favorite studio vlogs are by Catherine aka Katnipp. Her studio vlogs were always advertised to me but the first video I saw of her's was a DisneyWorld Vlog. After watching her DisneyWorld/Florida vlogs I decided to watch her studio vlogs and she's so inspirational! She runs an Etsy shop in her pastel wonderland of a studio. It always amazes me how much she can do in her videos. Whenever I need some motivation I watch one of her studio vlogs.

Sara Faber
Sara's videos were also always popping up in my recommendations section and finally decided to give one of her studio vlogs a watch, her personality is very calming which translates to her videos. Her art style is more neutral and different from the illustrators that I've mentioned above but I can appreciate that style.

Sueddu
Lastly, is the channel, Sueddu. She is a freelancer living in South Korea. All of her videos have English translations so those who don't understand Korean can easily watch. The videography in her videos is visually pleasing, she can make the simplest task look astounding! I highly recommend her videos if you want something relaxing to watch.

Who do you enjoy watching on Youtube?

K-pop 2018 Playlist ♥ Second Half

K-pop 2018 Playlist
Back in June, I posted the first half of my favorite K-pop songs of 2018 and today I'm unveiling the second part. I've very indecisive but I narrowed down the playlist to just 20 songs which I think is an appropriate amount of songs for a playlist. I also tried to not repeat artists and just pick my favorite song if they released multiple songs in the year. All the songs featured in the playlist should have a matching music video which you can view on Youtube.

Let me know if you guys want to see more playlists. I was thinking of maybe posting a playlist every quarter this year and featuring more songs from artists that aren't as well known, like posting a K-indie or hip-hop playlist because I also listen to a lot of Korean music that I wouldn't classify as K-pop.

What was your favorite song in 2018?

Self-Care Sunday | Mantra

Spiritual Sunday
You might be wondering why I am doing publishing a post during the weekend, right? Well, one of my goals this year is to explore my spiritual side. I'm not a religious person by any means but I do believe in the power of energy. If you've followed me for a while then you know that I've been struggling with my mental health. This year I would like to tackle these inner feelings and wanted to share my journey discovering my spiritual side with you all.

I've had this idea of starting a bi-monthly series (every second and fourth Sunday of the month) where I chat about something related to self-care or spirituality with others who might also be struggling with mental health issues. With it being a new year and all I thought now would be the perfect time to begin this series which I've named Self-Care Sunday.

For the first Self-Care Sunday, I will be sharing a card from The Universe Has Your Back deck. I shuffled and parted the deck and this was the first card I pulled out. You can use this card as an affirmation or mantra for the week ahead. If you have a journal you can write this on a page and look back whenever you need a bit of wisdom.

Spiritual Sunday
What do you think of this new series?

My 2018 Highlights

My 2018 Highlights
What a year 2018 was! Personally, I didn't think I grew any in 2018 so I started thinking of highlights throughout the year that may have happened on my blog. So, since everyone is sharing their highlights from 2018 I wanted to share my blog highlights with you all today.

BT21 plush crochet series
It was Blogmas 2017 that I published the BT21 Van plush crochet pattern. Every month in 2018 I published a new BT21 character plush pattern and successfully completed the series in July! BT21 was really big in 2018 so my BT21 crochet patterns were some of my most popular posts in 2018. You can check out all of the patterns here.

Fell in love with crocheting again
Can you believe that I've been crocheting for almost 10 years? There were some years where I didn't even pick up my crochet hook but in 2018 I was able to publish 2 patterns each month! Because of this, my love for crochet has rekindled. I even managed to combine my love for K-pop in a few patterns and started a fan stick series because of it! I don't think I've ever been this in love with crochet since I started crocheting.

Started a new fitness journey
Around late summer, I started a new workout routine. The workouts are quick yet effective. Not only that, but I also feel strong, toned, and look forward to my workouts every day.

Started a Patreon
In November, I started a Patreon! I follow a lot of artists on Patreon and it looked like so much fun sharing exclusive monthly projects so I decided to join in on the fun and start my own page. I'm still pretty new but my goal is to grow my Patreon this year because I have so many ideas that I want to bring to life.

MooeysCrochet Instagram
I don't remember why I started a second Instagram account but in 2018 I decided to turn it into MooeysCrochet, a crochet IG where I share everything about crochet. It's grown so much in just a couple of months so I can't wait to see how much it grows in 2019!

Listened to podcasts
Podcasts were a huge part of 2018 for me. I discovered so many new podcasts that I actively listen to now. Even though I'm more of a visual person I don't like watching things as much I like hearing them. haha

Started a Hobonichi and Travelers Journal
After watching Rainbowholic videos for so long I finally decided to start kawaii journaling in a Hobonichi and Travelers notebook. I plan on using these a lot more in 2019 so you can expect more kawaii planning this year.

Made new friends
Another one of my 2018 goals was to share a bit of my personal side to you guys. I'm not an open book and like to keep a lot to myself but thanks to blogging I've managed to make some lovely friends online who I share similar interest with. If you ever feel like chatting with me feel free to message me on Twitter or Instagram, I promise I don't bite! haha

Updated my Etsy shop
I updated my Etsy shop a few times in 2018 which was one of my goals for 2018 so I'm really happy that I was able to complete that. I even posted some 'made to order' listings in my shop which I plan to do more of in 2019.

Completed Blogtober and Blogmas
In 2018 I participated in both Blogtober and Blogmas. Even though it was my last year doing Blogmas I'm really happy that I was able to complete it because I almost gave up a few times.

What were some of your highlights in 2018?

Happy New Year! Welcome to my new weekly feature, currently. Every week I will be sharing that things that I'm currently reading, watching, loving, drinking, feeling, etc. I got this idea from my 2018 Happy Planner because at the back of each month (or beginning depending on how you look at it) there is this section where you can fill out what you're currently loving so I decided to copy that and make it my new weekly series. I wanted to make this series sweet and short while also sharing what I'm loving. Look forward to these posts coming every week in 2019!
