The ABCs of K-Pop Playlist ♥ 2013-2014

The ABCs of K-Pop Playlist
I'm back with another The ABC's of K-pop playlist! This time I am sharing my favorite songs and artists from the years 2013-2014. Like in my previous ABC playlist, this playlist is in an ABC format so for each alphabet letter you will either have an artist or song title that starts with said letter.

It was really difficult to choose certain artists for certain letter because I'm indecisive there were tons of amazing songs in 2013-2014! I also didn't want to pick different songs from the same artists or group, year after year so I tried my best to choose different ones (but I did pick some of the same artists for certain letters) but I tried my best to pick songs that I absolutely love and would recommend to someone who may not be a fan of K-pop or might be new.

I'm really happy with the result of the playlist not only because I think I choose amazing songs but also because it shows how diverse Korean music can be. The reason why I'm so passionate about Korean music is because of the variety in genres, it's not just K-pop there's so much more! Yes, there's pop but also hip hop, dance, rap, rock, indie, metal, house, traditional, I even included a trot song in this playlist! So, if you are someone who is quick to judge K-pop because you may think it's for "fangirls" or "teens" I invite you to listen to this playlist with an open mind and hopefully you can appreciate the music even if you don't understand the language, I'll rant about that in the next post. lol

Songs I couldn't find on Spotify

What were some of your favorite songs during these years?

Sew the ears to the corners of the cozy. Attach the top of the cozy to the bottom part of the cozy by sewing 9-10 sts of one side.

With felt, cut out a big white circle oval piece for the stomach, one small red circle, two pink circles for the ears, two smaller black circles for the eyes, one small white circle for the mouth and black nose for Korilakkuma's mouth. Glue everything down in the correct placement and press to secure, let dry.

Optional: Replace the red felt circle with a small red button and with same cream yarn attach a circle to the center of the top cozy. This way you can securely close the cozy.

7 Things ♥ On My Desk

7 Things On My Desk
7 is my favorite number. I was born on the 7th month and if you multiply the 7 by 2 you get 14 which was the day I was born. That's why I wanted to start a new series which I share 7 things. Today I'm starting with one of my favorite places in my room, my desk. I've posted several posts featuring my desk before but I'm always refreshing things up on my desk. By the way, as I was linking past posts to this post I noticed that my desk is extremely messy. Sorry!

1. Unused pens and colored pencils
You will notice that I keep a lot of writing pens and pencils on my desk so of course, I don't have enough time to use all of them. All of the pens and pencils in the pink cup (which I decorated with washi tape) ran out of ink or I don't use anymore. I like to keep "pretty pens" as decorations for stationery posts. The colored pencils I do use but not as often as other pens.

7 Things On My Desk
2. My Melody
This is a crocheted My Melody face that was meant to be a garland but I gave up. The pattern was made by Twinkie Chan in collaboration with Sanrio (pattern here). I couldn't understand the pattern so I just made everything I could and cut out a face with felt and glued it on. I like my camera on top of this because I don't have anywhere else to place my camera. lol

7 Things On My Desk
3. Starbucks coffee cup
This is a Starbucks coffee cup ornament that I bought for my mini Christmas tree a few years ago. I loved it so much that it now sits on my desk.

7 Things On My Desk
4. Unicorn
Like every creative person, I love unicorns! I bought this for $3 at Target. It's super cute and usually has a washi tape hanging from its horn.

7 Things On My Desk
5. Colorful pens
Since I shared my unused pens I had to share what I use instead. In the cup on the left, I store all of my Tombow dual brush pens and Zebra Midliner pens. In the pouch on the right, I keep my Pilot Juice pens, stamp pens, and pencils (want to see what's in my pen pouch?). Just looking at all the colors make my heart happy.

7 Things On My Desk
6. Hobonichi SetUp
I took this when I was planning in my Hobonichi. The sakura stickers are from Amazon, that MONSTA X dashboard is from HelloPaperCat, and that planner pouch is from Unicorn Planner, I like to store my die cuts in there.

7 Things On My Desk
7. Nylon Korea magazine
One thing you should know about me is that I love magazines! I have so many issues of magazines in my room. Even though Nylon here in the States isn't in print anymore I still like getting Nylon Korea and Japan magazines, especially since they usually featuring idols. In front of the magazine are some Pachimari plushies (crochet pattern available here).

What do you keep around your desk?

Self-Care Sunday | Mantra #5

This week's mantra card. I shuffled and parted the deck and this was the card I drew out. You can use this card as an affirmation or mantra for the week ahead. If you have a journal you can write this on a page, think about this when you're meditating, or look back whenever you need a bit of wisdom.

BLACKPINK Fan Stick ♥ Crochet Pattern

BLACKPINK Fan Stick Crochet Pattern
BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA! Or at least they will be because BlackPink is finally making a long-awaited comeback this week after a much long hiatus. Ever since I posted my first fan stick I've been asked many times to make to BlackPink's lightstick so I'm very excited to share this pattern with you all!

BlackPink's fans are called Blinks and though they haven't confirmed it I'm pretty sure their fan colors are black and pink but that could just be a lucky guess. When I searched online I couldn't find a name for the lightstick so if anybody knows let me know.

The lightstick was designed by the members, it has a black handle and pink hearts on each end to resemble the shape of a hammer. I like how they got creative with their lightstick because I love crocheting unconventional light/fan sticks.

The pink part with the hearts was difficult to crochet because I couldn't get the heart shapes quite right and I didn't want to use anybody else's heart crochet pattern so I tried and gave up many times but finally, one night while I was crocheting I created a heart that I was satisfied with. I almost published another version with a different heart part but I'm happy that I didn't because I prefer this one.

BLACKPINK Fan Stick Crochet Pattern
Assembly
Layer the hearts on each other and sew together minus the heart that you stuff. Next, sew the heart pieces on each end of the black handle, use sewing pins to keep everything aligned. Weave in loose ends.

With pink felt, cut out the details on the handle. You can make a pattern on a piece of paper to help guide you if you like, I did this for the pink rim part. I normally don't make buttons for fan sticks but the stick looked empty so I added the button. Glue everything down with some glue and press lightly to secure.

I didn't add the BLACKPINK logo on the handle (or hearts) because you couldn't really tell when the black felt was on the black yarn. I mean can you even tell that I put the logo on the MONSTA X fan stick? But you can choose to add the logos if you want.
